Dr. Pepper. State-of-the-art headphones and now a highly advanced “digital music ecosystem.” It would appear that the Interscope monarchy is out ensure fans have the best possible listening experience possible for Detox. Or maybe they’re trying to make you forget they even brought it up.
The latest technological enterprise from the good sound Doctor finds Jimmy Iovine and Hewlett-Packard joining forces to improve on the audio quality of MP3′s as they continue to dominant the market.
“We have to fix the entire chain,” Iovine told CNET News. “Our position is to go to all the sources and try to improve sound and educate people…We can’t put anything weak in the line. Whoever puts out things that sound bad shouldn’t be as cool as something that sounds great.”
Typically, artists usually jump into these type of ventures after they release an album to be the focal point of any sort of marketing campaign, but not Andre Young. Sporadically producing beats since the 2001 was emancipated, his clout still reigns supreme a decade later. Kinda speaks volumes for the album’s classic status, don’t ya think?

Now here you go lol.
Classic album but not without it’s share of flaws.
He also composed the soundtrack for Belly 3, oh wait, my bad, that was Dr Drew.
ATLiens > 2001
Yup, it’s spilled over
off topic but the masspike miles pursuit 1.5 link is nowhere to be found
………..halp?
^ Son, do you really need that though? I mean really.
The OG Chronic > Chronic 2001
Yeah, but the question is this, how many beats did Dr Dre actually produce, bonafide, instead of cherry picking, tweeking and accrediting to himself?
The OG Chronic > Chronic 2001
=========================
Without question. Song for song, track for track, verse for verse, the OG pwns the sequel.

Storch & Mel-Man definitely had a hand in the production.

False!
“Yeah, but the question is this, how many beats did Dr Dre actually produce, bonafide, instead of cherry picking, tweeking and accrediting to himself?”

But really, the question is, does this matter? The album is classic, I couldn’t give a toss who made the beats.
Dre might actually be the richest artist in hip-hop. While everybody wants to argue about what he does and does not produce, all he does is cash checks… And anybody who says that Chronic 2001 is better than the OG Chronic doesn’t understand music and the impact that The Chronic had on it. There’s just no comparision. One is a really, really great album and the other one is a truly incredible album that started a revolution and created 6 empires (arguably more if you really want to get into it). Dre, Suge, Snoop, Interscope and then Eminem & ultimately 50…
Talked to Dre last week.
People forget…
His son died.
No we didn’t, mate. It was kind of big news.
You misunderstood my comment.
Sadly, those were his words…
Not my own.
