“Car Service…”

For the amount of kush blown back by these two, it’s remarkable how well they seem to grab the concept behind today’s industry: over saturate, over saturate, over saturate. While the works of others could easily be mistaken for as similar the difference lies in one factor: quality.
Anyways, this isn’t about any industry talk so let’s get away from that; this time it’s all about music. Even with constant drops, I really slept on Curren$y. It was to the point where I dropped his name in a rookie of the year conversation earlier, and was called on it by J.Tinsley.
So here I stand corrected and am passing along “Car Service” which is off his most recent release, How Fly, a collabo tape with Wiz Khalifa. If you can get over the amount of weed talk, which is gracefully done and seems to entice me more than annoy anyways, these two go in on every track. More so than highlight “Car Service” I want to highlight the tape so others don’t make the same mistake I have and sleep on these two for another two years.
Spitta and Wiz, my hat goes off to both of you. This tape is a breath of fresh air in the game and is just another solid effort added to both of your catalogs.

aye can we get a write up on the new daz album?
that shit is hella hoard homie.
actually its a great summer time album that bangs.
I love this tape, been bumpin it since Sunday, but one thing that KILLS me about this tape is the outros. I’m like uh oh this beat is about to come back again and Curren$y and Wiz are gone straight rip it! Boy was I wrong. Just listen to “In The Middle”…so disheartening
How Fly is definitely dope. These two are the only guys who I can stomach talking about weed in every rap. I actually think they do it creatively, and I also feel like its “their lane” in hip-hop. If someone else tried it, they would probably be wack to me, and come off as biters.
Production is good on this, and I think they balance each other out. Even though the hooks still aren’t the greatest, I think Khalifa gives Curren$y a huge step up from This Ain’t No Mixtape… and the lyrics are still there as they always have been.
I’m a fan of both, and have been for a while now.
What’re some of Curren$y’s best mixtapes prior to his This Ain’t A Mixtape album? Thank$ in advance.
Yeah, this tape definitely will be in constant rotation for a long time. Lol, Prop I wasn’t trying to say you were wrong for calling him a rookie…I just don’t refer to him as one.
He was on The Carter 2 lol.

I know dog. Like I said I was corrected. I really slept on Currensy, and often I need to be with new artists. I listen to as much as everyone else, but there’s limited time and someone gets passed over. occasionally or I do check them out dislike one song and there rap career is over in my mind. A yera later they put out a tonne of fir and I sleep on it. lol
^^worst post post ever. We need an edit button so badly.
