For those who may not know, Ace Hood’s sophomore album, Ruthless, wasn’t half bad. It wasn’t half good either. Anyway, “Born An O.G.” featuring Luda happens to be one of the standout tracks, yet serves as a gift and a curse for Khaled’s pride and joy. You see, it’s a gift because the record is pretty damn nice and sounds great when you have the windows down and the volume up. However, it’s bad because someone in the studio that night figured it would be a great idea if Luda went first.
Horrible, horrible idea.
See this is where having true friends (and a little common sense) comes into play. If I’m Ace Hood and I know ‘Cris is FEATURING on the track, it’s safe to assume he is preparing to commit a 25 to life over the instrumental. This would automatically tell me I need to go first so I can at least allow the listener to vibe to my lyrics before you know who gets a hold of the track . While Hood’s verse wasn’t the pits, Luda leaves the track with another notch in the win column (and a fresh haircut in the middle of the hood).
