DJ Muggs and his team of Soul Assassins have been churning out superior hip-hop since the early 90’s. With supporters like Cypress Hill, Alchemist, La Coka Nostra, Planet Asia and Prodigy of Mobb Deep waving your flag, how could you not remain a head above the rest on the beat and rhyme tip?

With two slept on collaborative efforts under his belt, Muggs decides to release a third album of his beats blessing the vocals of some of the most talented MC’s in the game.

Intermission features heat rocks from the likes of RZA, Bun B, Fashawn and the step brothers Evidence and Alchemist. As he did on Grandmasters with GZA and Pain Language with Planet Asia, Muggs keeps it dark but intricate with his bass heavy beats.

Case in point, the opening track “Gangsta Shit,” which features Bun B and M1 of dead prez, begins with a gunshot to set off the slow but steady verbal beating by two of the south’s premier MC’s. Bun Bido’s baritone bark compliments the haunting synths provided by the ring leader of this freak show, DJ Muggs while M1 provides the balance to this track, describing in detail how to discharge and clean your weapon. This track that goes hard from start to finish, from Bun B’s always up to par showing on any track to M1’s helpful hints for any shooter, wake up and grip this album.
