Thanks to an updated cable package (finally), I now get MTV Jams. Once you get past the occasional Sean Paul video, it’s actually pretty good. All the new videos you only half watch online, full-screen, plus old school gems like the one above, from Olie & Jerry.
Fantastic.
Especially because Shooter McGavin makes an appearance.

The OG Breakin’ is a quasi-homo flick.
80′s babies could possibly come out the woodworks on this one lol.

You know you wanted to have Turbo’s moves. lol
Shooter McGavin…that dude was hilarious.
All he wanted was that jacket.
^^^
More like his girl in the 2nd one lol
lol
I had this song on a 45. Went along with my New York City Breakers compilation from K-Tel, complete with NYC Breakers poster. LOL.
Lol, this is true as well.
the 80′s were a confusing but great time.
When Breakin’ 1st came out; you couldn’t tell me that it wasn’t FRESH AND DEF!! Now when it comes on tv I cringe. lol
80s the greatest decade ever!
I got Breakin’ on DVD and have lost count of the number of times I’ve watched the Turbo and the sweeping broom scene.
As for the soundtrack The Bar-Kays ‘Freakshow On The Dancefloor’ awesome stuff.
Billie Jean and the aforementioned Bar-Kays track takes me back to 1985 when I pop n locked and breakdanced in front of whole school in the assembly hall. They loved it to bits, good times, life was so simple back then.
If you like MTV Jams then you will love Vh1 Soul !!!!!
