Remember 2002 when Nappy Roots & Anthony Hamilton hit the scene together with “Po’ Folks”? Then they followed it up in 2005 with Wooden Leather’s “Sick ‘N Tired.”
Sticking to the script, N.C. & Kentucky hooked up again for their second single off The Humdinger, entitled “Down ‘N Out.” A bluesy with a lightly laced harmonica, “Down ‘N Out” is a “hold on, be strong” song sparked by A.Ham’s crooning & uplifting verses by the Nappy word-slingers.

this song is old. Been out for well over a year now. Great song, but is there any reason why TSS is so late on this?
If you don’t have “The Humdinger” ALREADY, you are missin out!
They just released it as a single sir. That’s the only reason we’re posting it, to support the album (which if you click, we reviewed a while ago).
Check, I gotcha. I’m in Germany so I don’t get to hear the radio in the U.S. Better yet, I don’t listen to radio so It’s a good thing Nappy Roots makes quality music; I already bought the album when it originally dropped.
I remember that review……I was so pissed at the rating that I didn’t even waste time leaving a comment.
The Humdinger was weak sauce sir.
humdinger was aright, but this was by far the best cut off of it.
anthony hamilton can do no wrong far as i’m concerned.
i like “good day” for a happy day starter song.
