In case you’ve been living under a rock, Maino’s If Tomorrow Comes… is one of the best thangs poppin’ this summer year. The Brooklynite’s debut marks an eminent return to Hip-Hop from the true nature of ghetto living — not some hyperbolized horseradish where Frank Lucas posts up in corner stores for sport (looking at you buddy.)
The song “Million Bucks” marks the beginning and the end of the hustler’s tale and gives you a clear understanding the type of portraits Maino likes to paint.
Support the real.

Funny guy.
twista’s verse off walking on ice>>if tomorrow comes
have we begun 2 lower our rap standards so much that we’d call maino’s album “one of the best thang poppin this year”???????
i listened 2 it…give me a break. not gritty enough for a guy with that big ass scar on his face. shouldve had more production from premier and swizzy (the million bucks song was the only hot song 2 me) than all that jiggy shit.

Chea. Song’s about throwing your baby moms off the roof is pretty shiny-suit like.
*worms at funeral*
this album is dope as fuck…shine you obviously skimmed this album this album has some substance to it…aint nothing on this album jiggy.
even the shit that passes as radio fare still is street worthy. the weakest track on here is hi hater and thats supposed to be his money track…
on one song this dude changes his voice and raps from the perspective of a hood rat on some slick rick/ red man type shit on another he details killing his babymoms in tru aggin fashion…not on some kim mathers shit some believable shit any cat with a busted BM can understand…i dont even know why im breaking this down ol boy is prolly playing with his kid cudi action figures as we speak.
I DL’d this because it was getting such heavy props on here…
In truth I skimmed through so maybe it needs a second listen but he just sounds like an adequate (at best) rapper over generic rap beats – he could be from Florida, Houston, Atlanta…the music doesn’t have any identity of it’s own. Musically it’s not very good, and as a rapper I don’t think Jay-Z is going to lose sleep fearing his legacy will be dwarfed by this guy…to me it looks like Maino gets a pass on his rep alone and when it comes to making music that shouldn’t be good enough.
i felt the same way…i hated hi hater and thought since lil kim was his co sign that he would be baby shit but its kind of like jeezy or beans its not so much what hes saying its the way he says it.
on kill you it actually sounds like hes rapping through gritted teeth…its a dope album all the way through.
Remember when you listened to an album before you regarded it as trash??
No?
Yes this album is one of the best this year. Does it compare to the best album ever.. not hardly but while we wait for that next great album this one will get plenty of CD/MP3 deck time.

That’s like praising the tallest midget.
“niggas ain’t hating, they’re just paying no attention/ in a circle of faggots, your name is mentioned…” – common
with that said, anyone who gets a co-sign from lil kim shouldn’t be taken seriously
