Considering myself and others are still considered “lesser” individuals by some “proud Americans” (just last night some white boy dropped the N-bomb on a female friend of mine and Thursday some dude in the bar was talking loud and reckless about “stupid spics need to learn English and stop taking jobs blah blah” he almost got KO’ed by my guy), I find it hard also to care for this holiday. Respect to those in the armed forces, but fuck the politicians. We still ain’t free. I’m straight as a girl with no booty but until my gay ass cousins can marry their partners and get all the same benefits we enjoy of marriage then this shit is still an illusion, and actually our freedom will always be an illusion.
