We’ve been keeping a watchful eye over the case involving the estate of Dilla. Now, it looks as if Ma Dukes & the family finally got a legal victory.
We received good word in an email from the homey Jeff at Stones Throw last night that Ma Dukes and J Dilla’s other heirs have recently succeeded in their legal battle against the executors of J Dilla’s estate. The previous executors have resigned and a new administrator has been appointed who is looking forward to working closely with the family throughout the process.
Congratulations to Ma Dukes & family.

I read this over the weekened. It is great news; espeically with her medical problems.
Really really good news for those folks man. Can’t be happier for them.
Even more, it should tell other rappers (and everybody) to make sure & be aggressive about getting their paperwork straight now instead of leaving it for your family to deal with @ a later time.
^ Not just rappers, but anyone that has a little something that they wanna leave to the people they love. Folks are greedy as hell out there.
