Mad because his debut won’t make the August 31 cutoff for 2010 Grammy Nominations? The Grammy’s dog? Even without hearing it, it was obvious you weren’t going to win a Grammy much less be “competition” for whatever it is Shawn Carter decides to release. If this was sarcasm, it missed me but it’s easy to see how I could get it confused with all the other spazzing CuDi’s done recently.
Man on the Moon: The End of Day will now release on 9.15.09, upon which I will download it.
Speaking of, has anybody seen Charles Hamilton lately?

Y’all are sounding like a bunch of hating fags. Kid Cudi is speaking logically. He’s not being a dick about it. Fact is, Kid Cudi and his label were trying to making the deadline while he had a huge hit and some buzz. Bout time next year’s eligibility ends, he probably won’t have any buzz left to at least have a chance at winning a Grammy. This year, he would have had weak competition — Eminem (horrible album), Q-Tip, Ludacris and a few others. Next year, his competition might be a bit stronger with Jay-Z and possibly Kanye in contention. He knows what he is talking about. And he was right about Jay-Z. He will most likely get overshadowed by the camel. I don’t see anything wrong with his statement. Every artist wants to be recognized. Y’all act like he was spazzing like Kanye, and that wasn’t the case. He’ll probably be still eligible for some Grammys, just not Rap Album like he hoped. Don’t see the issue.
Cudi is speaking emotionally about a logical topic. He’s a good singer/rapper and a decent song writer. He’s not some incredible, misunderstood genius. He’s an above average musician with some big time friends. He should be honored and humbled to be in the position he is in. Instead we get these emo ass tweets and threats to retire before his career has even taken off.
This is all coming from a HUGE fan of his music, and a very disappointed observer of his character.
