If you still haven’t peeped Classified’s Self-Explanatory, shame on you because it’s 360° dope. There’s a grip of genuinely good cuts on there, including my favorite, “Up All Night,” which happens to be the next single.
Corresponding beautifully with the bluesy hook and beat, the native of Nova Scotia takes it back things we can all relate to on this one; reminiscing about big wheels, puberty and overcoming obstacles. I haven’t seen the video yet, but I envision Class dressed in overalls, rapping to the listener from a rocking chair on the porch of a backwoods wood cabin.
Probably putting up a Backwood, as well.

I’m not sure where you live in Canada, but Classified has been the most consistent Canadian rapper for the past five years. 11 albums deep, he tours Canada coast to coast on a regular basis and puts out creative albums that aren’t the same regurgitated bullshit. The bulk of Toronto rappers try to mimic US mc’s and Classified has he own style and produces all his own music
His rhymes aren’t always amazing but he’s a better rapper than 95% if the stuff out. I always make a point of actually paying for his albums which is saying a lot these days

I must concur that the majority of T.O. rappers try to emulate their U.S. counterparts, but what do you expect? We’re a major city with some similarities although not to the same scale or extent.

Not sure where yall are at in Canada but I have gone coast to coast and this dude gets respect across the board from fellow musicians, fans (FANS – something 99% of “artists” in Canada have no grasp on or will ever achieve) and more importantly a fanbase willing to pay for his music
personally, i am not a fan but dude lives off music and is travelling the world off it. I didnt fuck with Gucci mane til Gotty had that ign’ant shit in my face every day either so i imagine if Classified got pushed into my face all day I would start feeling it more too
