Admittedly, I’m not too familiar with who Black Deniro is, but apparently he has enough pull in Philly to get Gillie The Kid, Cassidy and Beanie Sigel on a track together (Gillie has beefed with both Cass and Beans in the past, by the way). Over one of those repetitive beats that allow for an artist to spit aimlessly about whatever comes to mind (a la “A Milli”…just not as hot), Deniro and company do just that.
While the track is a pleasure to listen to, it’s a sad reminder of the state of Philly Hip-Hop. Gillie is stuck being local and, in all honesty, Cassidy lost his chance to blow years ago. The most painful realization revolves around Beans, however. It seems as if tracks such as these will have to do because the thought of another Beanie Sigel album doesn’t seem feasible at this moment.
So, in essence, calling this track a gift and a curse would be a fair assessment.

Philly Hip-Hop definitely needs a boost but we always have the Legendary. Not many are more Hip-Hop Than The Roots
