And Grand Hustle continues to go the direction led by Yung LA. I hate to speak negatively about a label I’ve obviously got love for. Maybe it’s a sound that prevalent in clubs in the A or something. But this swag, monosyllabic repetition bullshit…not cuttin’ it & not feeling it…at all.
It’s not that I expect the music to be one-dimensional, trap rap. Not in the least. But I expect or at least want something with more creativity than what LA, and now Kuntry & Dro are starting to put out. Please, don’t let P.O.L.O. be the dumbing down of the label’s once-heir to the crown.
At least they still have Bobby Ray & Mike bringing the heat.
