I will defer to who the better lyricist is, and who had the better album.
In my opinion, this isn’t worth revisiting. In the clubs down south though, this will set it off. This is like the southern version of Pac vs. Biggie, no disrespect (hopefully no shots either).
Cats have been waiting for this brand of bullshit. Jeezy’s obviously smart. Ah, well.

It’s too soon. This song only helps to build Gucci’s buzz even more (if that’s possible) if & when he responds. That man has been getting money and getting it without sending any shots Jeezy’s way. This wreaks of bitchassness & as much as I fux with Jeezy (Trappin’ Ain’t Dead has been spinning for 2 weeks straight) I can’t condone this level of fuckery.

Gucci is an acquired taste which I can listen to in measured doses. He’s a dopeboy staple though.
To me, Jeezy’s above the cat in all aspects so why even trouble w/him? At most, throw a few subliminals back esp if a “diss record” aint exactly your forte. He bit on this previously & ended up taking the L. Why go back?

@Rick if I wasn’t at work I would link it, but search for the song “Swing my Door” by Gucci Mane. For me, the appeal for Gucci is the delivery and flow which are supplemented largely by the “legitimacy” of his lyrics, especially when compared to others. I really can only listen to a few select tracks by him sparingly however, because my brain turns off after enough Gucci.
And yes I guess this is warranted, because Gucci didn’t just simply send subliminals at Jeezy on Writing on the Wall but talked about doing away with Jeezy’s boys, etc… etc…
All and all I say Gucci FTW only because it is obvious Jeezy is really jealous and pissed off because Gucci is getting way more publicity and shine than him.
