Saw him and Talib at the Black Star concert and possibly best act I’ve seen all year… not only was the show fire, but Mos actually had lost his voice in the first show (I caught the 2nd show at 11pm)… still managed to kick it into gear and bring down the theater… truly worthy of support!
Way too many surnames for this cat, but the album snippets sound pretty dope.
I will get this album either way, but hook it up.

Anybody who can rap and play the timpani simultaneously is aight in my book.
Yo, the way Mos structures a song these days is sooo ill. We’ve set the bar low in hip hop, for the most part, in this regard: most tracks just fit that 16 bar/8 bar hook/16 bar/8 bar hook, etc.
But on The Ecstatic, the songs grow, and mature, and meander, and end up at a completely different place from where they start out. In particular, “Roses” is nice that way. Dope. Grown-up, sophisticated music.
And yeah, it’s nice to hear the Black Star reunion on “History.”
So yeah, spend your $3.99.

on first listen it sounds like his last shit where none of the songs seem finished lol…it is really chill though, and I understand that is his thing (non structure) although I wish there was just a bit more structure along the lines of black on both sides…but that priority beat is niiiiice, ne ways I’ll give it some more spins it will probably grow
