Actually I really enjoyed both records…Wayne subject matter is pretty ambiguous, nothing really specific, I like the fact T.I. went through something in his life it allows him to display lyrical dexterity through a wide range of topics.

Tip’s music is heavier in general than Wayne’s. For whatever reason we always need one rapper more known for fun, and one rapper more known for heavy/hardcore stuff, and compare the two constantly. Think about it, Wayne’s Jay, he’s Big, he’s Kane. Tip is Nas, he’s Pac, he’s Rakim. Now, don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying that these guys are better or worse than the ones before them. I’m just saying that their popularity comes from the same line of thinking.
