If Weezy can rock & roll, why can’t T.I.?
Before hitting the clink, the biggest rapper in jail got melodramatic over heavy guitar riffs and live drums on “Live My Life Alone,” one of two new T.I.P. tracks featured on ATLiens:The Mixtape. Without a bar in sight, T.I.’s delivery is more James Hetfield than Clifford Harris. Believe it or not, it works. His track record is heavy in comparison in to Wayne’s, which leaves only the ATLien with topics to fully and emotionally bellow out.
For those non-appreciative, please check out T.I. smoothly spit just “The Way You Want It” where he candidly states “Who would have thought I’d emerge from the ruins and the wreckage/even better than I was before the automatic weapons.”

actually, his voice probably wouldnt sound bad on rock.
LAKE SHOW FOOL!!!!!!
Interesting. He should stick to shit like the second jam. Nice effort though and more my rock speed than any of the Weezy jawns…
Very decent Tip…
Where’s P?
Now I know who took my Everlast CD
Tip’s music is heavier in general than Wayne’s. For whatever reason we always need one rapper more known for fun, and one rapper more known for heavy/hardcore stuff, and compare the two constantly. Think about it, Wayne’s Jay, he’s Big, he’s Kane. Tip is Nas, he’s Pac, he’s Rakim. Now, don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying that these guys are better or worse than the ones before them. I’m just saying that their popularity comes from the same line of thinking.
maybe fun isn’t the right word, but you know what i mean
^^^ thats a great way to look at that
i think he got a little deep into the sizzurp one night. better than i expected and way better than weezys autotune rock but… nah. second song tho is real as hell.
Actually I really enjoyed both records…Wayne subject matter is pretty ambiguous, nothing really specific, I like the fact T.I. went through something in his life it allows him to display lyrical dexterity through a wide range of topics.
