THAT I LIKE!
Is that a stab wound?
I’m trying to get beyond that outfit. Not very complimentary…
Having a drink would prolly help, but it’s Sunday….. morning.
Maybe it says something about me that I would smash even though her feet look insanely too big for her body.
@Gotty, yes, but the album is not for public consumption. Like I said, we’re only going to produce a one off batch of 30 copies, not to re-printed or replicated ever again.
It’s a project that forms an element of my cousin’s Masters Degree programme in Media Arts & Communication. He’s a bit of multimedia wiz, so that’s his forte, you know graphic design, photography, film and sound production etc.
Basically, the concept that we have devised is a storybook, containing fleshed out narratives and drawings, you got GZA’s Liquid Swords and KRS One’s I Got Next CD’s yes? Well you know the drawings on the inlay sleeves?
The drawings in the storybook will be in the same vein and along with the story narrative they will form a companionship to the music that is on the CD/DVD.
The CD album itself will play out like a fantastical adventure, like all my creative energies and heart will be poured into it, myth, magic, reality, fantasy all concocted to form a storm within the tea cup.
The album will begin with the slaying of a promising emcee by the henchmen of this corrupt record label mogul. They stab him him up and cut out his tongue, but his spirit leave his body and drifts into the Projects nearby. That will be the next song.
The spirit eventually drifts into the room of this young man, who is woken up by the presence of somebody standing by the side of his bed, it is the spirit of the slain emcee. He breaks down the score of what happened and the body of the young man becomes a vessel for the spirit of the departed, so he can exact his revenge on those responsible for his slaying. But the young man can channel his own feelings and emotion, even though his body is possesses, kind of like a dual vessel.
He escapes into the night, but since we are now in the other realm, there is a basketball court nearby and there is a game going on there between the ‘night dwellers’ you know werewolves, vampires, gargoyles, goblins and the young man joins in the game they are playing for a little, it’s far out, like totally.
You basically get the jist of it, each song will be an episode through out the night, until the young man possesed by the spirit of the slain emcee reach their final goal and destination.
I got this other track, where the young man goes into this abandoned brothel, where he encounters this harlot, she’s like really messed up, she has no pupils, all you can see is the white of her eyes, she is completely naked, slammin body, but this scary slimy giant snake goes up through her vagina and out her mouth, it revolves around her body like the earth circles around the sun. Our hero must over come her attacks, both the physical and lustful types.
Then this other track, about this this local thug don, who got muscle in the form of ghouls and an army of evil jinns, because he sold his soul to the devil in return for power and fortune in this life. He is tormenting this holy man, basically an Imam, because he won’t give up the title deed for the masjid that he guards. The thug don wants the building for himself so he can turn it into a nightclub and him and his entourage of unspeakable creatures are about to torture the Imam so that he signs over the title deed to the property to them. However, that is where our hero steps in.
Other tracks too, like near the end of the album, he goes into the big dark forest at the other side of town, and into the lair of the corrupt record label king pin. His house is like Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, but all abandoned, creepy looking and shit. You got weird stuff like killer clowns that look like John Wayne Gacy & IT, plus this unrestful spirit of this bag lady who was burned alive dwells there. She comes after our hero, she is always on fire and screaming because of the pain, gonna getcha, gonna getcha, the witch is gonna getcha. On some Silent Hill type steelo man.
The album is going to be a pure blast of imaginery forces, jinns, magic carpets, earth, wind, fire, sorcery, ghouls, goblins, werewolves, ghosts, dragons, warlocks, no good dirty hood types, damsels in distress, a fantastical tapestry of creative juices.
Along with the companion book, the CD/DVD will also have supplements like a faux viral campaign, profiles, artwork and plenty of other treats on the characters and set pieces that formulate the universe within which the album itself is set.
The beats are going to be organic but head nodding slammin, courtesy of Nayeem and Idris a couple of good friends from around the way and cultured crate diggers/producers.
Lyrically, it’s me concentrated fully, not like when I come here and spit some random verse for a cooler chick or some random tom foolery verse. It’s a clear flow and delivery you like the way Masta Ace and Last Emperor got. Can’t be doing with that swallowed a dictionary style, this ain’t music for them.
It’s almost done, and will be the crown jewel within my cousin’s portfolio of academic work. Currently in printing and publishing before he passes it to the Academics in July for final verification.
He heads out to Malaysia once his Masters is done, around August time to start a job for Pioneer Sound & Vision.
Like I said though we’re only going to be producing a one off batch of 30, those involved directly in this project will get one, that means 8 in all, so the remaining 22, my cousin will sell to collectors. He travels quite a bit, so he got connections like this awesome music and comic book store in Tokyo, so it’s pretty dead cert that they will buy a few units from him.
Pretty elitist, I know, but hey it’s not music for the masses. If it’s destined for somebody to come across this product they will, because that is what fate intended and they will buy it.
I read about 2/3′s of that before I got fatigued & just gave up. I’ll only say that I expect a copy, be it physical or mp3 format. I’d like to see it as it’s presented for academic purposes, including some sort of written form explaining the process as it’s told to his professors.
Then I will believe this is fact & not farce lol.
Otherwise, I’m gonna have to file everything that you say now & forever under the Greums category of “man, the dude just babbles” lol.
All y’all have to see The Hangover. I love all kinds of movies and this is pound for pound the funniest movie ever period

I wrote his “words” off as that a loooong time ago. lmao
LOL @ Gotty’s response to Paw’s “Soliloquy Of Chaos”. I expect all you (closet) backpackers to catch the reference I made to a classic…without the usage of Google.
by the way, I think Hova was going at Guru on “Death Of Auto-Tune”. LOL
Have a good Sunday yawl!
@Gotty, isn’t that the category I’m filed under anyway, regardless? ;) :)
No way, I can send you a physical copy of the book and CD/DVD, the one I get, is the only I’ll have.
However, maybe I’ll hook you up at some stage in the future and post up the album in MP3 format. Cool?
teef – caught that reference.
baby paw – don’t wanna even bother. gotty you have way more patience than i do.
We should all feel privileged to hear this guys music right?
