SA-RA - “The Bone Song”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on June 15, 2009 at 6:19 pmOddly enough, this is the most “accessible” song that I’ve heard from SRCP in ages…and even then it eclipses the competition. By accessible, I mean easy to digest, not hard to follow & could stand apart from the whole (which I previously said was hard for a SA-RA track to do). Lyrically, the words revolve around the chase of ass, which we all can relate to, supplemented by a syncopated drum track. If you’re shy for words in certain situations, this song is perfect to speak on your behalf. Cue it up, look in the passenger’s seat then ask “what you want to do girl?” Word up. Thank SA-RA later.

Sa-Ra never disappoints …. Thanks Gotty
The Red Stripe Link is some electronic / dancehall … artist called Terry Lynn — worth a one listen if you’re into reggae / dancehall / electronic
This song is dope.
i love Sa-Ra i see that they put out double dutch and death of a star on this new album…i guess it’ll be nice to have em in a music format other than vinyl. hope people can get down with sa-ra they really are a gem…and i might be biased because taz arnold is from LA….but you know can’t help it if there’s some good music out there ;)

lol, you didn’t necc piss on a parade fam. you “enlightened” others, which is what it’s about.
yeah, i worded it incorrectly. lol…
I’mma listen to that joint later but wouldn’t it be a remake or some shit if Shafiq produced the original?
supposedly this whole SA-RA album was recorded in 2006 — they’d recorded it for Ubiquity, but put it on the backburner when SONY/G.O.O.D. Music seemed like they were going to make them stars first.
Don’t know why it came out NOW instead of that “Hollywood Sessions” indy album from a couple years back, but regardless — this album is all from that same era.
They haven’t really been making lots of stuff together since the G.O.O.D. project got shelved — they’re all making their own solo albums. But, the shelved albums were kept largely un-leaked, hence the release of this now as “new”
Black Fuzz (the G.O.O.D. Music album) is still almost entirely unheard, will likely still be coming out eventually.
^ But “Can I Get U Hi” and “Glorious” were on the BLACK FUZZ tracklisting,
and yet have now been released on 2 official albums
so I’m doubting that the Black Fuzz album will remain in the original form if/when it does get released
