Plies - “Becky”

Over what seems like years & years of albums (but actually only about two years), I’ve somewhat drifted away from rockin’ with Plies. While my admiration for his music has lessened, my respect for his hustle in this fickle music industry has not. Less than six months after dropping Da Realist, he’s set to drop Goon Affiliated in September. In fact, if I were a rapper, this is the shit I’d do too. Drop album after album, sell me some goddamn ringtones, tour the chitlin’ circuit heavy and when fans couldn’t stand me any more, I’d be done stacked so hard already that it wouldn’t matter. I’d retire & open a used car lot, living my life in obscurity.
Anyways, “Becky” is the first official single off Goon Affiliated. The subject matter is something we can all relate to in a matter of ways I guess. If this were the 80’s, The Real Roxanne would have an answer record ready in a heartbeat. Maybe Khia’s free & can take care of that.

as for the worst dancer…? I’ve seen worse. No footage (thankfully), so you’ll have to take my word for it.
There’s always guaranteed to be a few “worst dancers” at festivals like those. It’s best to just observe, chuckle, & let them be. They’re in their own world. The Spirit Of The Music hits them in a special way, in a special place, lol

so obviously he has a limited vocabulary. and he doesn’t really switch up the delivery. but you always need someone around to deliver heavily-accented levelheaded vulgarity from time to time. i dig his beat selection, too. real dirty dirty.
