As promised, today is the official release date for 5 O’Clock Shadowboxer’s debut album The Slow Twilight courtesy of Beat Garden Entertainment. For those who have missed prior emails, this is a concept project comprised of MC Zilla Rocca and producer Douglas Martin, and is loosely based off the NYC Noir Flick “A Blast of Silence.”

Using untraditional samples with the gritty and dark tone of Zilla Rocca, both Zilla and Douglas Martin have created a project that is entirely unique from most of the hip hop coming out today. Although it’s outside the norm, hope you can open up your ears and minds and soak in what they bring to the table…
