Remember when Spade’s name got wrapped up in the whole Charles Hamilton-beat-nabbing fiasco? From the nosebleed section, all of the sudden bloggers & fans of the man were screamed in unison “Forget Sonic, listen to Stoney Rock!” It was a righteous time to strike.
A few months removed from the situation, I’m still not giving up that call. Rock with Stoney.

jajajajajaja make sure you got some long johns on under a t-shirt and you’ll be straight.
that poster over Stoney’s left shoulder is STL history right there. i wish i could help you guys understand the potential that Soul Tyde had….
Stoney and Kenautis Smith (who has done production for every STL artist featured on TSS) on the boards, Black Spade, Tef Poe, Nato Caliph, Gotta Be Karim, Kash and others spittin, Spade and Coultrain (now rockin with PPP) singing, DJ Needles on the wheels, they were 13-15 deep….supergroup to the fullest…they had a quality studio to call home and some marketing money…
then the music business happened. same ol sob story…bad decisions, divisions in the ranks (13+ is a lot for one group), etc… most or all are still doing their thing, but the whole could have been more than the sum of the parts…
historic
damn.
Trackstar telling nothing but the truth. Being from Stl I was rooting for them big time. That Soultyde album was so hdamn fresh and ahead of its time. Oh well. Brings back some good memories in the Loop (U-City). STL STAND UP!!
Proud to see some shine on my city!
former member of Soul Tyde and Black Spade’s younger brother by actual blood relation right here..I really wish we had a way of explaining to the world just exactly was happening back then hell even to a certain degree whats happening now in stl but yeah Soul Tyde without a doubt was the absolute greatest assembly of talent ..ever formed in my city,
a few groups come close but that was the equivelant of taking every super talented person you know be it, rapper, producer, singer..whatever and putting under one umbrella and helping them live out their dreams..the st.louis version of Cadillac Records..lol
