And look, he even has Yeezy on the track. I was getting worried that Sean was getting the stepchild treatment with all the attention going to CuDi this year.

Great verses. If Kanye ever drops an album with verses that good throughout, I’d be willing to consider him to be an MC, as opposed to a producer that’s decent on the mic and loves attention…

I agree that he’s made some great albums (no classics in my view) but none of the greatness relies on his lyrical genius. He’s a competent MC with cool and relatable everyman themes + banging beats. MC extraordinaire he has never been. As much as we all respect him, you’d never put him in a conversation with any version of MCs like Nas, Ghost, BIG and to a lesser extent Jay-Z.
The fucked-up thing is that he’s right in the conversation with Wayne, Tip , Game and the rest of “best” of the mainstream…
