Watching Sports Center yesterday, the anchors were up in arms due to the fact that Manny Ramirez was fourth in MLB’s All-Star voting for NL outfielders. They blathered on about how much of a PR disaster it would be if he made it as a starter, even though he’s suspended for 50 games for PEDs (he’ll return in early July, a few games before the ASG). Since voting for the game is fan-driven (because baseball is America’s favorite you know), the cries of foul from the media’s talking heads, managers & owners, even the commissioner would be null & void if enough fans voted Manny in.
Immediately, I thought “Somebody needs to start a site for that.”
Thankfully, someone has.
Enter Vote For Manny and their mantra.
To highlight the silliness that are the MLB rules towards PED users as well as their “head in the sand” approach to this situation. Rather than confront it head-on, MLB is choosing to do nothing and simply hope there are three higher vote getters in the NL OF….
…Not to mention all of the other stupid things that now surround the ASG, including the “winne
Word.
As I heard someone say before, I don’t care if Manny used Performance Enhancing Drugs. His purpose is to be the best athlete he can & if he hits a mega-human amount of homeruns due to steroids, that’s okkaaaayyyy. My entertainment was enhanced as a result, and, hell, that’s the only way I’m watching baseball not changing the channel when Baseball Tonite comes on. Don’t give me that crap about “but he’s a role model for kids.” Enh…sorry, I don’t care.
My favorite football player growing up was Lawrence Taylor, the hardest motherfucker to ever play defense. He cracked heads & ended QB’s careers. And you know what fueled his excellence? By his own admission, coke & crack. I loved the guy; I didn’t grow up to smoke crack. Furthermore, I can’t complain. I smoke almost three packs of cigs per day to perform as such a high level such as I do. Whatever it takes to get you there holmes.
If my kid can’t watch, listen & learn that any drugs are bad for your system, then I suck as a parent. Chances of my son going pro in baseball are one in a gazillion; odds of him getting some arse are much more in his favor, having a slight edge because he’s my progeny. If he wants to use steroids, have man tits & be impotent when that first chance to get smoke hams comes, that would be an unwise choice that I’m almost sure he won’t make.
See, I don’t need Manny to raise my urchins. I’ll do that with a belt & stern voice just like my dad did with me. What I need Manny to do is be on the field, hitting the leather off the ball so I can marvel & tell my kids about it. Not explaining to them why the fuck Barry Bonds name has an asterisk beside it in the history books.
Now, click right here & go clock your vote for Manny.

Yes We Can!
Is there a link for that Dj Quik & Kurupt? I need that ASAP!
Good article. I agree, we pay how much money to go see a game? Tix, food, drinks and if you have a fam that shit adds up and I myself want my monies worth! You wanna see Manny (or whoever you follow) hit that monster homerun or game winning hit. I could care less what he takes to make it happen. I mean if he wants to fuck up his body, then that is his choice. I could care less about Manny, but I voted for him all 25 times as a BIG F’ YOU to MLB!! Those idiots should have took his name off the ballot so this type of foolishness wouldn’t happen.
Long live the NFL, greatest game on the planet dam it!! FTW.. !
As crooked and hypocritical as the sports media has been in covering steroids and bashing guys they hate while celebrating/making excuses for guys they like, I’m voting for Manny as many times as my T-mobile connection will allow.
Screw Selig, ESPN and all the guys they cover for. Manny goes hard at the dish juice or no juice. Same for B Bonds. And yes, even Jose Canseco—the only whistleblower in corporate history who still gets trashed for helping clean up the game while guys he fingered get celebrated.
Get everybody equally or leave everybody alone!
Black Canseco has spoken.
@ turk…i haven’t seen one around, homie. if u come across it, i’m interested as well yadig
“my urchins” lol you stoopid for that one
I just did my part. That shit was easy. You just fill out your info one time, then when you click on vote again it’s already set up for you. You don’t even have to click on the players you want to vote for. It’s already done for you. I voted like 30 times.
…and Manny’s still the coolest mofo playing (even though he’s not).

As much as I hate him because I’m a Giants’ fan, I kind of want to vote for him.
I hate the whole steroid thing and think it’s ridiculous. It’d be funny if he made it…
…sorry, just can’t vote for a Dodger.
voted for manny 25 times (maximum allowed) and, bonus, got a chance to vote for all the Phillies except 1 (sorry J. Werth)
Rock the vote!
you can vote as many times as you want. just a (.) period somewhere in your email address before the @. It won’t recognize it as the same.
Co…fucking…sign.
I’m voting in all the steroid/hgh users. Manny. A-Rod. Giambi. Might even write-in Clemens.
Fuck baseball and their establishment.
Although I find this article wildly hilarious, and for the most part right on, I am going to have to disagree with the first and third points. If you review every NBA roster since Showtime, or Larry’s C’s you will notice an excess of one Hall-of-Famer on every single roster, and at the very least two (if not more)! Magic, Worthy, Abdul-Jabbar; Bird, McHale, Parrish, Green; Jordan, Pippen, Grant/Rodman Paxson/Kerr; Drexler, Olajuwon, Smith. Need I say more (i’m not saying that Kerr and Paxson are HOF’s btw see next point)? Ok I will, each NBA championship has a number of ingredients, and namely that is two or more hall-of-famers and a pure shooter, and or dominant center. In Cleveland the closest to any of that LeBron had or ever would have had was Shaq, who, with each passing game is lessening his right to join the Hall. Trust me my basketball IQ is far greater than that of an average fan/blogger. LOL! As for March Madness, the additional teams will beat up each other for a right to join the field of 64 maintaining the competitive integrity of the tournament, and furthermore strengthening it. Have you not seen some of the amazing games of the NIT? Many of these teams deserve a shot, and with the disparities in strength from one conference to the next worthy teams often get slighted. As for both, 1. The NBA will not lay down for the Heat, and more epic teams will emerge to compete. The league is going to be fun to watch, perhaps much like the ’80′s when GM’s were good at their jobs and the players didn’t have to do it for them and 2. March Madness will produce greater upsets and more worthy champions from a field of 96 that doesn’t leave out a team with a bad early loss, or a mid-season slide due to injuries.
I was digging round for some info as a result of Im writing about the identical thing. It is best to take a look at my blog and follow my YouTube account cause there is a lot fo curiosity about this.
