In no way will…
1. LBJ’s 200 Best Dunks be greater than Vince’s 100.
2. Any player truly amass 200 dunks worthy of chronicling.
But if anybody can defeat the odds, it’ll be this cat.
This same guy who’s reportedly being named this year’s NBA MVP.
LeBron James to be Named NBA Most Valuable Player Today [Nike Lebron]

I’m pretty sure it’ll be 200 one-handed, fast break dunks… smh
Are these his 200 BEST dunks? are just 200 random dunks because of the first 25 or so that I watched, I’ve only seen about 2 worth watching. In other words, I co-sign with Gotty’s point #2. I think I’ve seen enough of this.
LOL. I always say Lebron is the most uncreative dunking superstar currently playing.
This guy is one overrated dunker. I cringe when I see him in anyones top 10 and yet some people even thrown his name into top 5. No.
But congrats to him on MVP. I bet he continues the recent trend though… no championship.
This is the only Lebron James dunk that matters

He does need to get some creativity going this off season especially since he’s gonna be in the 2010 dunk contest. Because if next years contest fails to live up the hype like this years , he will set the event back like 10 yrs. ( funny thing is that 10 yrs would be back to when VC won the contest)
ONE OF THE GREATEST DUNKERS OF ALL TIME (who I forgot yesterday):
JAMES “FLIGHT” WHITE…youtube him. His dunks will blow you away. Especially the two hander from the freethrow line.
LeBron is certainly not the most creative but the whole arena stops when he goes up. The dude is 6’8” 270 and in the same high class as me so I guess I’m just in awe. MVP well deserved this season. Wade #2. CP3 #3. Kobe #4.
1. If Shawn Kemp can be in the top 5 of all-time greatest dunkers with his mediocre styled dunks that are mostly alley-oops, dunks off of rebounds, & wide-opened dunks (because people moved out his way) than why cant Lebron be in the top 5??
2. People seems to forget that Lebron only been in the league 4 or 5 years, never been in one dunk contest (although he keeps hinting), & 2-3 of those years he was the playing 4 positions. But everyone is quick to give the nod for Kobe to be in their top 5 dunkers.
3. Do the few people that commented so far understand how hard it is to jump from where he jumps from?
4. I would like to see how many dunks he missed compared to how many dunks other elite dunkers missed. I would put a bet that Lebron missed the least amount.
5. @ADRAKE, how can you be upset that an NBA player runs the floor, plays defense & rebounds to get fast breaks, & has enough confidence from his teammates to give him the ball whether he is in traffic or wide-open for a dunk. All since he first got into the ‘grown-man’ league.
In closing:
I wasn’t (past tense) a huge fan when he first came into the league cause I thought he was just another big body player that had athleticism, ie Kobe Bryant, but I notice that he really is a mature athlete that knows his roll, knows how to entertain the crowd, and most importantly understands that being a team player wins champions. I never thought being a great dunker made you a great player, that’s coming a fan that thinks Dominique Wilkins is the best (huh go figure), but you cant deny the magnitude of dunks, difficulty of positioning himself for the dunk, & the confidence his teammates has in him. Lebron came into the league as a complete player, now he is going to raise the superstar bar for all athletes young & old.
ps.
I think Lebron has a lot of creativity, but how creative do you want him to get during a game? if yall watched the clip before commenting, you would of seen him do creative (although they were other peoples first) dunks like windmills, 360 windmills, off the back board windmills, through the legs, rock the cradle, & multiple reverse dunks in all-star games, some high school games, the nike/addidas h.s. all-star game & they dont have any of his summer league games in this clip.
pss.
I come with FACTS, please talk to me with FACTS!

Wow Blazedacannonz,
that felt like Law and Order. The problem with LeBron is not that he’s not an impressive dunker, its that he doesn’t do anything that the normal “dunker” can’t do. I think the gripes that he’s stem from his lack of innovation, I’m mean he brings such a presence while he’s playing and even when he goes up BUT when he dunks its a more forceful version of what everyone else does. I mean with his size and athleticism I should be setting a new standard or adding something to the dunking world, which as far as now he does not.
the gripes that COME stem…
athleticism HE should ( not I, I cant dunk even a little bit)
What type of innovated dunks would you do if you were 6’8 260+….
i dont see josh smith doing anything innovative and he is 6-8 240+, one of the most athletic players & one of the best dunkers in the league at the moment, and has been in slam dunk contests.
sheeit, niggaz was saying that Harold Miner (baby jordan #1) was the most prolific dunker of the post Jordan age, but his dunks were much like Jordan’s, Nique’s, & Dr.J’s….
what makes Lebron’s dunk less spectacular?
Lebron is more of a power dunker, so his dunks don’t look as good unless he’s dunking on somebody. Its kinda like Dominique vs Jordan, Dominique was more power Jordan was more finesse, and finesse always wins out in a dunk contest.
And when tall players dunk it don’t look as impressive, that’s why when Dwight Howard dunks on a 12 foot goal next year it’ll get him some support but when Lebron turns around and does the same thing its GAME OVER.
@ Blaze
The thing that makes LeBron great is that he’s 6’8 and 270lb and he moves like he’s 6’2 200lb. LeBron’s athleticism for his size is what makes him great and also removes any excuse that he can’t do something because of his size. The ONLY issue I have with his dunks are that none of them, NONE of them, NONE OF THEM are original. They are just dunks from a great athlete. Besides force , he doesn’t even have a signature…I mean c’mon am I really being unreasonable here?
@cell
Yeah, you are being unreasonable, dont skip around my questions:
What makes Lebron’s dunks less spectacular?
If you were 6-8 260+ what kind of innovated dunks would you come up with?
Than i will answer any questions you have.
