Make no mistake about it: Jose Canseco got into MMA fighting for the cash. At this rate, he’ll have to rethink either that or change his fight strategy because I’m not sure too many people will pay anything other than rubles to see him “fight” after this display. Yes, that’s the snitch/former baseball player Jose Canseco looking other than his former Bash Brother self, challenging a 7’2″ Korean opponent named Hong Man Choi.
Jose’s “fight strategy”? Hit & run, literally. Except, being a 44 year old rookie fighter on a hobbled body, his running option didn’t work too well, especially after he injured his knee.
In the end, it’s not the severe beatdown that many had hoped he would receive but it’s surely a start. Chin up, Jose! Keep fighting!
