Video: Drake Featuring Trey Song - “Successful” Live
MUSIC By Gotty™ on May 3, 2009 at 9:46 pm
Drake - “Successful” (Featuring Trey Songz) from The Smoking Section on Vimeo.
Of course, you’ve seen everywhere how Drake performed @ The Loft last night in the A. There’s footage floating around and there was supposed to be a stream of the performance (not sure how that went down). As well, TSS was in the building, so there will be our recap and more footage coming.
While it was going down last night, Contra™ sent me a message & said “Yo, we got the camera in.” This was a feat because cameras weren’t allowed. Nevertheless I figured that it would be some classic internet grainy footage that would fail to encapsulate the visual greatness of the performance, which is the normal case when aggins slide in the Flip cam & such.
But let me make this declaration: Contra™ does nothing “normal.” If he said a “camera,” he probably meant one commonly used on Hollywood sets. He & the homie BkJaxon outdid themselves.
This song has been on constant repeat since 4.17.09.

Anybody else see that video of people lining up for a WEEK just to buy the Air Yeezy’s??? I love the shoes, but who in their right mind sleeps outside for kicks??? Up here in Toronto they’re moving for like $500 a pair!!! Ninjaz are buying the sneaks and trying to flip ‘em for $1000+, in hopes of covering their initial purchase plus making a side profit. Fuck that shit, my loot is going to purchase the VIP ticket package at Rock THe Bells this year!!!

So Far Gone has shit on everything else released this year. Drake is going to be huge. TRA called that shit a WHILE ago.. I didn’t believe him, but now i see..
TSS was they Spike Lee jawn wit the Camera work good Shit Contra
I was up there at the front of the concert standing against the rail with all these media people from different blogs and magazines. If it wasn’t for my blackberry (the official phones of photographers it seems), they probably would’ve tried to send my ass back to the middle of the crowd.
Drake’s found his niche, and it sounds all the more impressive b/c none of his peers are in his particular lane, which works in his favor b/c he winds up sounding “unique”.
I was NOT digging the vibe @ first (I mean, really, “Best Of Drake”???), but I’ve since changed my view.
I’m still not convinced about Drake, but I’ll still give him some time, to prove his point.
