The beauty of The Roots gigging on the Jimmy Fallon show is that any morning when there’s a scarcity of material or we’re unprepared, all we’ve got to do is wake up & conveniently scan for a clip of the previous night’s performance to start the day.
Be sure to log this in your journal as it’s the worst performance of the band’s two-month stint. I didn’t say it; ?uest did. Since you can’t always turn sugar to shit & being forced to back questionable artists was bound to have its drawbacks. Thus, we have our first casualty.

I wish they would polish artists to be better live performers…his monotone just kills any energy he had in the beginning

And to me Black Thought is one of the most slept on dudes in rap history PERIOD
I just like the fact that we see the Roots 5 nights a week. Hopefully cats will realize the greatness of them and the one and only Black Thought.
Pretty sure Asher is one of the more real artists out there in the rap community.
