The Week That Was: @Work
GENERAL By TC on May 23, 2009 at 6:25 pmThe past seven days have been an exhaustive yet rewarding trip through the daily grind the World Wide Web brings to the table. But over at TSS it was business as usual like an EPMD joint. Here’s what the weekly itinerary consisted of.
Board Meetings
As you can see from the pic, we had to get our proper credentials before visiting Tanya Morgan in Brooklynati before member Donwill ducked off to write love letters. Meanwhile, U-N-I & Ro Blvd offered up their thoughts of Californication as Method Man & Redman ignored the no-smoking signs. Via satellite, Dylan The Great approved of his position as president, V.P., chairman, chief, and committee but luckily, the attention was on Hip-Hop’s next possible supergroup.
Company Review
Our lovely receptionist brought out several new albums (and a carton of Newports™) to the table for further discussion. After considerable debates, it was determined that Sadat X and Freeway were costing the company stock so their shares were bumped down while Recordkingz, Esso and The Kid Daytona showed hints of gaining market value. DJ Drama and Killa Cam were a little stagnant with Busta Rhymes being a marginal buy, and Eminem dispelled all notions of any sort of crash however (probably because he spit that shit.)
Instructional Viewing
Since it’s company policy to be up on the latest viral media, Ace Hood gave inspirational tips while Edubb…um…yeah. Witchdoctor made a rare appearance to offer financial advice, Officer Ricky Rick Ross and Rapper Big Pooh showed us how to properly travel, and Ms. Rosa Acosta kept us awake during those long review meetings. We even found an old tutorial featuring Common.
Lunch Break
To pass the time, Curren$y and Wiz were rollin’ up some herbal essence as Pill popped his new song in the tape deck. There was speculation on who looked better between Jaslina and Halle all the while we sung Happy Birthday to Brother Malcolm. Gotty™ showed off his new toys and Freddie Gibbs took us to school and recess.
C.O.B.
Sometimes you can’t avoid taking your work home with you so we issued out promotional materials for extensive study. DJ Clue’s old model stood up nicely next to the newer versions from Young Jeezy and Red Cafe. 50 Cent rediscovered the winning formula as did Crooked I. Anthony David & DJ Kermit knew how to take the edge off while R. Kelly and Drake made beautiful blasphemy.
At the end of the day, it’s always best to maintain a professional work environment but it’s vital to remember rule numero uno: never mix business and pleasure or you’ll end up like this.
Damn Chuck.
