The Week That Was…
GENERAL By LC Weber on May 2, 2009 at 9:30 pmAn LC Haiku for the week:
From April to May
Another sad month away
From L in C-A
Ah, but Grandfather Time pushes on as he tends to do. And the TSS Crew was here to cover all the news that’s worth a sh*t to print…
Prop Jay — showed folks breaking bones (…) while daggering; vibed with Sandman on an M.I.A. sample; taught us how to style a H1N1 mask real right.
Beware — gave us Tech N9ne; spotted a beloved and missed Nate Dogg; told us what your girlfriend like.
LC — continued to activate for Mayer Hawthorne and heart-shaped vinyl; took in the Spring pheromones in the Air; mean-mugged Twitter; introduced the future white bread for Asher Roth and all his college buddies to sleep on.
K1NG — urged us all to get back on the train of thought.
David D. — reminded us of his wrestling breadth of knowledge.
Patrick M. — burned two cigs for Boaz.
MZ — covered Kanye with Mos Def; hooped in Europe with the teens; took a decidedly pro-Twitter stance; revisited Tech.
TC — called out the crazy ladies; joined the rest of the Crew in a forever interest in Rae; called out the pause-iest lyrics; shook his head at Guru and AutoTune; unveiled Asher Roth with Cee-Lo; reviewed Diz Gibran’s long delayed album; gave you another reason to talk about Drake; recognized Black and Royce did the beat better than Cam and Jada (yes, David, I’ve calmed down).
Contra — paid R. Kelly any mind; put a fly-ass Swatch watch on your arm.
And, as every week, Gotty™ put in work — played with Doom figurines; brought Gucci Mane back; resented liking Fonzworth’s music; wouldn’t check his Blackberry or his hat or ANYthing at the door; waited with bated breath for Ras Kass; hated on TSS family Jaycee; found Nirvana; URL’d this article as “Kevin Garnett is a douche”; put the iTie plea in for Father’s Day; watched the Pres play ball with the lay-tees; ticked the final final minutes on the Bulls and Celtics 3OT; closed a work day with Tonya Morgan and Blu; popped corn with The Coolest of Kids; waited up until 3 A.M. for Em to show up.
As we proceed…
