Twista pulls out his Easyrider & hops on Tech’s track, riding out the the menacing beat. I know we need another nine minute remix like we need a worldwide outbreak, but I wouldn’t be mad if the likes of Bone, The Brat, Shawnna, Crucial Conflict & any other silver-tongued MC’s got together and did something with this.

R: This obviously comes from a person who has never listened to a full Tech album and is simply judging him on one song he didn’t like. Tech N9ne dropped 10 albums and 2 remakes. There is not one Tech fan that liked 1 or 2 of the albums and hated the rest. Any Tech fan will tell you they enjoyed all his albums equally and his diverse styles in each one. As for you reference to Rakim. Tech did not call out Rakim. Apparently you weren’t paying attention to the lyrics. If you liked Tech you would actually know that Rakim is one of Tech’s influences in rap and he enjoyed his records. The song is simply referring to an incident that happened at one of the shows. Play the track again and listen this time.
Ok now I replied to few posts I’ve seen but now Imma just talk. Once I was just like all of you except for the fact that I didn’t post shit on an artist I have never given a chance to or listened to at least 1 full length album of. I was like you in a way that I looked up pics of this dude and was like WTF?. Why is he wearing face paint?, Why is he dressed that way?, and Why the red hair? I looked up an album I was like AngHellic? I looked at the track listing. “Devil Boy”? This guy a devil worshiper. I don’t think I’d like his shit. I checked the album sales at the time, it sold a lot right next to Absolute Power right above it in sales. So I downloaded it. Listened to it was like ok pretty dope but not that special. The more I listened to that album. The more I realized he is telling a story about his life through his music like they used to back in 70’s and 80’s rap. The way he felt, how he has been treated, and people don’t understand him. There’s a story behind the red spiked hair and face paint or the braids or the normal crew cut. It fits his style between each album. I realized his style is untouched. He is not afraid to use words that some people may not know or spit super fast tongue twisting rhymes at random in his songs. Each album is a different style and part of his life.
Bottom Line: I had realized there is deep meaning in his songs and have nothing to do with a fucking corny dance or yapping about how many bitches he’s got and how he is drowning in his wealth (bragging about how much money he got).

Tech has songs for almost anyone if you give him a chance. He is not calling anyone out in his songs so listen closer.

people are getting maybe just a bit defensive when it comes to tech n9ne here. He’s a decent artist for me. Nothing more.
The way I see it. His flow is unbelievable. His lyrics are…..ok. His songs are….half decent but the music behind them ahs never been great for me and ive not really listened to a tech n9ne album more than once all the way through cos it never kept my interest. And believe me, I’ve listened to two or three.

to TECH198N9NE- you couldnt have put it any better, tech raps about everything that has happened in his life, good or bad, he puts his entire self out there and is not afraid of what people think of him…sure i understand that not everyone is gonna feel him but dont judge him just on a pic youve seen or one song you have listened to, give him a chance and listen to his music and i bet it will touch you in someway..PEACE
Personally Tech N9NE is my favorite rapper, but to someone used to the watered down bullshit that modern hip hop consists of, I can see how he may be less enjoyable. I in no way mean this as an insult, but look what rap has reduced itself to!
We used to have songs with power, meaning, expression, and most of all individuality. But in a genre that used to be all about individuality, now if you’re different everyone feels the need to cut you down or say you’re not getting your hustle straight, whatever they have to say. I love Tech because he knows how the industry is, he has worked with legends, from Tupac, Eminem, and E40, to underground artists like Killa C, Stir Crazy, and Tragedy. He has love for all statuses in rap, not just these mainstream bitch made rappers that run shit now.
Every damn week it seems there is some new cheesy fucking song, about some dumbass dance that makes you look like an epileptic having a seizure. I mean come the hell on, the god damn STANKY LEG? What has rap reduced itself to? In the golden age we had rappers/groups with TALENT and ORIGINALITY like Whodini, Run DMC, and the Fat Boys. Then later we had the more hardcore side coming through with artists/groups like Cypress Hill, Ice T, Ice Cube, Geto Boys, BTNH, etc. Then to two of the best to ever grace the microphone, Biggie Smalls, and Tupac. And now we have this bullshit we are spoonfed now.
Lil Wayne is now the most popular rapper out there. And that makes me sick. His lyrics while they may be catchy, 99% of the time make NO SENSE whatsoever. At all. He has that nasally, annoying ass voice. His flow is so overdone in his songs, he barely ever switches it up at all. Pointless ass songs like Fireman, and Prom Queen should have BIG, Jam Master Jay, and Tupac rolling in their graves.
All you hear anymore is “I Get Money” shit, and “I Get Bitches” and “I Smoke Weed A Lot”. Yes, old school rappers were spitting about that shit too, but they didn’t do that in EVERY SINGLE TRACK.
I’m damn well happy that we still have artists and groups like Tech N9NE, Bone Thugs, etc because if we didn’t, all we would have left are these autotune saturated, money grubbing punks, who forgot how the fuck rap got where it is now. Once in a while we need to pull the wool from over our eyes and see modern hip hop for what it really is. Fake.
The Funnist thing is Tech N9ne Is the Number 1 Independent artist selling 200,000 300,000 every time he come out?? And He Has The 3rd Highest Grossing Tours this year and last Year The Two Above Him Are Jay-z And Kanye So His Shit is for us Demented Twisted Fucked up people not yall Phoney Cats That Listion too the radio all day this man doing wat he want and is stupid Doper then almost all these so called dope Rappers??
