Movie buffs, this is what you’ve been waiting for.
According to Variety, Martin Scorsese has been tapped to produce and direct Sinatra, a biopic based on the legendary entertainer from New Jersey. Although there is no actor set to play the leader of the infamous Rat Pack yet, it seems Leonardo DiCaprio would be the obvious choice, as he has become the Guru to Scorsese’s Premier over the past decade or so. With the film still in pre-pre-production, no release date has been set.
With all the baggage Sinatra carried, including ties to Marilyn Monroe, The Kennedy’s and the Giacanna mafia family, Scorsese should be able to turn this film into a dramatic masterpiece worthy of Frankie’s legendary name.

Dope, I’m wondering who will fill out the rat pack.
We should start the grassroots select Mos Def for Sammy Davis campaign haha.

thats actually a great suggestion…not the whole movement thing, but Mos playing SDJ
I’ll second/third that Mos Def suggestion, but most likely they’ll cast someone with more “star power”–whatever brutha that’s hot at the time…
Maybe Don Cheadle will get asked to play Sammy (again.)
but didn’t we do this whole Frankie/rat pack thing already—like mid/late ’90s?
Funny to read this news. I was just telling a friend I was gonna set forth and collect Sinatras works.
DiCaprio would be best suited for the role I think; he has a similar look.
ps: Speaking of movies, this chick wants me to take her out to see one. So, my TSS brethren what do y’all recommend???

i recommend slippin a mick into her drink and taking her BEHIND the movie theatre…owwwww
lmfao @ KTHUNDO’s advice.
Flea, take her to see the Tyson documentary, and tell if she don’t act right you going to eat her babies.
Sinatra = Jude Law
Davis Jnr = Mos Def (good call El Rosado)
Martin = Jon Hamm
Lawford = Eric Bana
@Flea, can she wait until next week? If so ‘Drag Me To Hell’ would be a great choice.

is that a good thing?
no shots but with how you type, i imagine you looking like BeetleJuice from the Howard Stern show with a “my germs” little hand
Greums is the man! Slightly eccentric but everything’s authentic. :)
Anyway, from Rat Pack to Brat Pack, did you all know that 2PAC made his movie debut in the early 80s in a movie anthology Nightmares.
2PAC played ‘bodyguard’ to Emilio Estevez’s video gaming maestro in the segment called ‘The Bishop of Battle’.
2PAC would go on to pay tribute to The Bishop of Battle by naming his character Bishop in Juice.
Don’t believe me, watch this clip, see the video at 1.40, that is young 2PAC right there, Emilio Estevez and 2PAC, awesome!

I didn’t know Greums was international… cool!
Greums is French. Can’t remember where in France though.
PSi: understanding French doesnt mean you’ll understand Greumspeak.
I wish Phil Hartman was still alive to play Sinatra when he’s old.

TSS IS WAY MAJOR !!!
dicaprio will probably play old blue eyes given his track record with scorsese (he’s played in his last 4 films including the upcoming flick shutter island).
not sure about the rest of the rat pack. cheadle played sammy in a hbo movie about the rat pack. im not sure he’d be willing to play the same character in a feature film. but with scorsese behind it, who knows. apparently, marty scor has like 4 films in the works (including one about teddy roosevelt), so this one might not be released until like 2015.
