I really didn’t even think about it when it was posted but I knew someone besides Budden didn’t make that Jersey Radio mix. I did my due diligence & found Volumes 1 & 2…but there was no trace of three of NJ’s finest. Shameful when you think about it because PRT was moderately successful & surely relevant during a certain time in rap. One thing’s for certain: they always made mention of Trenton in their music. Yet, it seems as if they were left out of all three volumes of these compilations. Dah well, here’s an offering to make amends.

peace.. this is the custodian of records.. me and dj brownbum put the “Jersey Radio” shows together.. and let me say we were just scratching the surface with what we’re trying to do.. but do to scheduling conflicts (brownbum homeschooling his kids while doing dj gigs at night) we never got around to making a vol. 4
and please believe when i say this We did not and will not ever forget or discredit trenton! I got a crazy amount of love and respect for trenton (divine land)..
But keep in mind what i said, we were just getting started!..
I really wanted to plan a show centered around trenton.. I was personal friends of Tony D (R.I.P) and I didn’t wanna put any of the jersey fresh tracks he did because he was selling them..
But we do/did plan on doing an entire show based around trenton.. that was actually going to be vol. 4 playing stuff from PRT, YZ, BLVD Mosse etc.. so it def. wasn’t a diss to Trenton or any other area.. considering the three shows we did, i think we covered a lot of ground.. but like the song says “we’ve only just begun”
