Words By Prop Jay
I am going to man-up and give you a “baby-making” track off of his first release, Gangsta For Life…, that has been on steady rotation for a while now.
When I hear this track, it brings to light exactly why I love reggae: Versatility. At times, it comes across as rugged and ghetto as the genre we all love. During others it can produce a sound so passionate and smooth a Hip-Hop artist could only dream of being able to do as such without a full-blown crossover to R&B. This track is the latter as Mavado even seductively (pause) goes in over one of the smoothest background melodies I have ever heard.
Turn this on for wifey tonight, light some candles and thank me later, yo.
