Yeah I was hurt Heatmakers wasn’t on Crime Pays. I don’t keep up with NY gossip so I thought they were good. Replace the wack Skitzo tracks (there were a few, for so many tracks on one album he did really well though) with good heatmakers tracks and Crime Pays might be pushing Purple Haze.

Cam’s ear for a hot beat is a skill more rappers need to learn, Nas for one could certainly benefit from it.

Crime Pays was pretty decent but not great. Cookin Up and Silky (No Homo) are my favorite cuts. And I think the Fuck Cam skits are hilarious

@ AmpGeez I agree that big name producers don’t mean a good album, but I think when Cam had beats from Just Blaze, Kanye and everyone else at the ROC was really when he was on top of his game, cam can pick a good beat so he ain’t gonna get jerked no homo like Jada buying a beat from Pharell the last two albums..

I do think the song with Jada is dope though…

@500KFlea if Cam left a couple tracks off that album as well as the skits, added the track with Jada, and maybe one more feature I think it would have been a really good album… the way it is, I agree that it is “solid (no homo)”
