For the second time now, Kanye is claiming London Pop/Soul artist Mr. Hudson will be ‘bigger than him.’

In a new interview with NME, The Louis Vuitton Don raved about the relatively recent G.O.O.D. Music signee, who he claims “has the potential to annihilate me” and be “one of the most important artists of his generation.”

Based on those bold claims from a artist with good taste, I figured we should actually check the guy out (no Takei).

I peeped out most the stuff on MySpace, I preferred these two from his 2007 debut, A Tale Of Two Cities. They’re hits. Aside from the smooth eloquence Hudson voice brings, both songs are perfectly sequenced, leaving added instrumentation and backup female vocalists as sweet reminders as to why we should keep listening. Bass could be hiked up a bit, but that’s what Kanye’s for, right?

The lead single from Mr. Hudson’s first project that matters, Straight No Chaser, is called “SuperNova,” and is produced by West. The album drops July 9th.

I will be listening.
