Hot for the upcoming summer season, Glasses Malone just dropped an extremely breezy remix to his track “Sun Come Up,” featuring T-Paid, Rick Rawse and the Hoobanger himself, Mack 1-0. The beat sounds like something that could have been on All Eyez On Me, definitely West Coast to the fullest. The arrogant and carefree nature of the artists work well over it. The only downfall of the track is the how played out the “Sunday, Monday, Tudesday, Wednesday…” chorus is at this point.
It originated on Cherrelle’s 1986 single “Saturday Love,” from her album High Priority, and has since become a recycled hit hook for rappers.
Lil Jon had Nate Dogg singing it on his underappreciated Cali posse cut with Snoop and Suga Free, “Bitches Ain’t Shit.” A few months ago, Curtis even got it in for the street single to Before I Self-Destruct. If I’m not missing one somewhere before or in between, G Malone got sloppy thirds.
I like three out of the four.

hoo bangin lives!
I’ve been bangin’ the OG for months, back when it was slated to be the first single of Birdman & Rawse’s H album.
Smooth enough for the ladies and gangsta enough for the G’s.
dont leave out sweet james’ version from live from harris county. long live the pimp
And that’s Freddie Jackson’s “Have you ever loved somebody?” on the sample! Would be cool if they flipped that Cherrelle joint. Still dope as hell and better than the 50 version.
@cocotaso…
