i’m from Chi… House Of Blues is a bad baramometer of any artist’s success because HOB requires artists to play multiple HOB venues. In short, you play one HOB you play all of em. Nobody in CHi knows Drake as anything more than the guy who’s got something to do with LW and may or may not sound like Kid Sister and that whole movement…
He’s just a big name and will get some attention on that level.
Not sayin’ he won’t leverage it into some success, but CHi’s hiphop scene/music scene just don’t pop like that.
