Skillz scored a nice lil’ vid on this one, where he sits down with Bink! and DJ Rick Geez and they confess on something on Hip-Hop. It’s a good laugh from the moment Skillz’s intro (which is real talk in it’s own right) until it ends.
I thought Skillz had a bad until Rick Geez opened his mouth. Not knowing Shock G & Humpty Hump are the same person is cool when your like 8 or 9. But only finding out the truth in 2007 is akin to still leaving cookies and milk out for Santa when you’re 36.

First Outkast album I listened to in its entirity was Speakerboxxx / The Love Below, and I’ve done alright.
:)
I mean I’ve heard all the singles, and I now have all the albums, but to this day I’ve still never listened to Outkast’s first FOUR albums all the way through.
Ok…let the confessions begin!!!
I don’t see what all the fuss is about with Premo. I mean his beats are ok, but I don’t see anything special about them. At least not since the late 90′s…….there that’s my confession!
I thought that same shit about Humpty and Shock G
the whole dilla movement really missed me until after old boy was gone (RIP)…glad i got schooled on that one, though
I got some confessions
R.O.O.T.S is the first album from a florida artist that I have heard beginning to finish.
I enjoy Electric circus more than Finding forever
I think Life After Death is overrated
I bump Lil’ Flip “underground Legend” from time to time
Wait. Santa ain’t real?
Who the hell been eating my cookies then?!?!?
lol
I think Jay is one of the greatest, but i could’ve missed Volume 1-3 and been more than okay..
I am NOT a De La Soul fan.
Listener? Owner of albums? Sure.
But “fan?” Not hardly.
Outkast>>>>De La Soul
I own none of the De La albums
I don’t see what all the fuss is about with Premo. I mean his beats are ok, but I don’t see anything special about them. At least not since the late 90’s…….there that’s my confession!
===========================
Listen to the NYGz album and you’ll understand that Premo can turn water to wine on some Jesus shit lol.
I am NOT a De La Soul fan.

The same man who opines for 50/G-Unit releases to receive 5 Cigs lol
i thought biggie and tupac were the same person until 2005
The first time I saw 2pac’s name on this girls shirt, I asked her who two pack was. It was 6th grade & she had some DDD’s. I stared at them things blatantly.
The same man who opines for 50/G-Unit releases to receive 5 Cigs lol
======================================================
Better them than Lil’ Boosie muthafucka lol
I’ve never heard Chronic 2001…it just never appealed to me.
I’ve never seen all of Boyz in the Hood.
I thought Trackstar the DJ was part of the lucrative Hip-Hop production duo that did “Juicy” until 9:30 PM
Man…one time I was having a convo bout dope producers n some one kept saying “Jay Dee, just off of SV’s first album”. I said “fuck dupri”
I also referred to elzhi as “LZ” for the longest time
I’m what you’d call a “completist,” so my confessions have dissipated over the years. But my major one is that I didn’t hear ALL of Illmatic untill 2002. I’m in my mid-20s. And ashamed.
I also sorta enjoyed the Ace Hood album.
Sidenote:
Stop talkin’ sideways about Preme. Stop it and go listen to Group Home’s “Livin’ Proof” right now.
Don’t Be A Menance > Friday
i thought biggie and tupac were the same person until 2005
======================================================
hahaha
i’ve never bought/listened to a full tupac album to this day. no interest.
Lupe Fiasco is overrated.
Kanye Stans who do things like seriously contemplate buying his ugly ass sneakers and shoes confuse the hell out of me.
De La collective lyricism > Outkast b/c Big Boi is overrated. THERE…I said it. I LOVE Outkast, but Trugoy > Big Boi – it’s not even close.
that whole premo comment was fodder…everybody and their momma knows premier is the nicest.
de la soul > outkast
still not sayin outkast isnt dope, though
Don’t lemme drop a list on you… i’ll piss off everybody under 22.
Real Talk I’ve heard Premo’s shit, its just kay to me though. IMO he’s been making the same beat for 10 years. Also co-sign the De La comment. I just didn’t catch that wave. I don’t own any album, and don’t plan on buying any. Kast>De La all day!
thought gangstarr was a solo artist til i was at least 15
oh and ugk/bun/pimp’s adlibs over the last 2 years or so have made a lot of their music from then near unlistenable to me. specially as the new LPs jammin otherwise. it’s like e-v-e-r-y bar’s last few syllables gets repeated, or a “damn” gets thrown in, sheesh.
Gotty, what bout makin this confessions a regular post sorta like crew love?
I can’t remember the last hip hop song that I can spit the lyrics from beginning to end
and de la & ‘kast are “sorta like neck and neck”
can’t believe anyone’s questionin de la’s fresh
Better them than Lil’ Boosie muthafucka lol

Don’t Be A Menance > Friday
==================
This aggin’s on crack lol.
And I’m taking the rest of you fools passes. “I never listened to Pac.” “I haven’t heard Illmatic.”
Only me & Teef from here on out. We’re the elders now & you all must learn.
Gotty, what bout makin this confessions a regular post sorta like crew love?

Your Favorite White Boy said no more confessions posts sold in the park without receiving his nickel.

oh, an thought eric b. rapped alongside rakim for a LONG time
stems from only havin the greatest hits and bein confused between the squeeky voiced cat on “check out my melody” and the gruff ass tone on “casualties of war” or whatever
Ive never listened to Scarface’s The Diary.
I think The Score is unoriginal and overrated.
I listened to “Mafia Music” 13 times today.
I think Saigon, Papoose, and Joe Budden are nothing to write home about as well
Nah, Gotty – I’m saying don’t claim to be a “marketing genius” and act like its your own idea. No copyright on this concept, my man. Have at it.
My confession? Don’t have one OutKast album. Not a one.
Think “classic” and Jeezy shouldn’t ever meet in a closed space.
He’s not a lyricist, he’s a (damn good) motivational speaker.
I think The Score is unoriginal and overrated.
=======================
My confession? Don’t have one OutKast album. Not a one.

*clutches his chest* “I think this one is the big one Elizabeth”
Motherfuckers coming out the closet in this bitch lmao
some of these fool are need of some schooling or banishment from TSS
just not a pac fan…
Confession:
Haven’t watched to video to this post. I guess I’m still listening to “Mafia Music”
I think The Score is unoriginal and overrated.
====================================================
Who the fucc…?…what…that’s grounds for banishment
I Think Ras Kass is the best west coast Emcee to ever (That includes to Tupac Scoop)
On Rick Geez and HumptyGate he texted me and asked if I knew about Shock G & Humpty. I was like I thought they were the same for about 6 months until Digital Underground was on Yo MTV Raps and they weren’t on their together at the same time
I don’t own a Gangstarr album either……heard’em all but don’t own a one.
I Think Ras Kass is the best west coast Emcee to ever (That includes to Tupac Scoop)
============
delete Tupac & I’d say you have a pretty solid argument.
Rassy loves the bottle more than the mic though lol
I think Cappadonna is utter trash!
i think everyone thinks that
It gets on my nerves when New Yorkers say Preemo was born in NY. he’s from Texas bitch. He went to PV A&M for crying out loud
I think Blu > Rakim and is one more great album away (WB major debut this fall?) from attaining
Blu > Nas status in my book.
I think people confuse Jay-Z’s status as one of the most influential artists with him being an all-time great. They’re not one in the same, he wouldn’t crack my top-25.
I think Pusha and Malice can take the whole coke rap duo thing to levels Ghost and Rae never could when it’s all set and done. And Ghost is my G.O.A.T. and OB4CL is in my all time top-5, so that’s saying something.
I think Mos and Talib would have had a lot more success musically (and they been pretty successful) if they recorded more than one album together.
I think Fat Joe got his hands on Pun’s rhymebook after he died and used it rather liberally, thus helping him stay relevant another 5-6 years.
I think Get Rich or Die Trying is one of the best albums of the decade.
I think Kobe stans are the worst stans of anybody in the history of stanning….errrrrr my bad this is a hip-hop post.
I think Mos Def is crazy overrated! IMO his best material was with Talib
Here’s my confessions:
I haven’t, nor will I ever, listen to The Cool. Not one song, not even Superstar. I always turn the radio station when it comes on.
I have never, and probably will never, own a hard copy of a Tupac album. Sorry, it was always B.I.G.>Pac.
I own physical, hard copies, of every Roots album, including Rising Down. I’ve only listened to Illadelph Halflife, Things Fall Apart, and Phrenology all the way through.
I think that The Massacre was better than GRODT. As a matter of fact, The Massacre still gets play from me, even though I dislike 50.
The Chronic>Doggystyle
The RZA>Premiere
Ghostface>Method Man… hell, I think Ghost is better than damn near the whole group, the only person I think that could see him bar for bar is Rae, and even then… nah…. it’s Ghost. Followed closely by ODB.
I secretly think that whoever wrote Puffy’s lyrics in Bad Boys For Life should’ve gotten paid a GRIP. Puff’s best line? ‘Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks.’ I spazed when I heard that.
I’ll probably be banned from here for most of that stuff, but oh well.
^^^
I sat and had an entire convo while listeing to “Streets On Fire” the whole time off The Cool. Why won’t you spin that shit?
WHY WON’T YOU LET THE COOL BE GREAT BROCK?!!?
The Chronic>Doggystyle
The RZA>Premiere
Ghostface>Method Man…
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ghost is better than Meth & Musically I think the Chronic is better musically Doggystyle Lyrically. I can’t co-sign the RZA>Premo though
I’m going to co-sign RZA>Premo
Ghost is the only one out the WU is still relevant……
At this point, I could give a rats ass if OB4CL 2 ever comes out……..Detox too
EPMD>Run-DMC IMO…..
I like Phife better than Q-Tip
Jwon Hood Hop is my shit
lil’ kim is better than 50 cent skill wise
I’ll listened to Rick Ross Albums 10times more than 50 Cent even get rich
I don’t write any of my own posts. I just take them from more obscure blogs and put my name on them
Phew. Glad I could get that off my chest. No spilled milk, right?
old.sole Says:
I think Life After Death is overrated
I so agree. It’s great but people talk like it’s the epitome of rap albums. I can list so many records that are better than it. Like, um, I don’t know READY TO DIE!!!!
-Other classics that don’t grab me: OB4CL, Liquid Swords, Criminal Minded (I got too use to complex flows) Illmatic (It grabs me but not as strong as it does a lot of people), Stakes is High, Midnight Marauders
-De La Soul is one of my favorite groups but I couldn’t get my head around 3 ft. or Buhloone Mind State. The only two records I have listened to in their entirety are Grind Date and De La Soul is Dead.
-When I was 13 I had a minor crush on Baby Stace (Mase’s sister)… yeah.
-I’ve only listened to two Gangstarr albums in its entirety. (Hard to Earn, The Ownerz)
-I don’t think hip-hop is dead. The Industry, yes. The music, no.
-I didn’t care for NaS until Godson. (That’s my s**t) I always knew he was good, I liked his albums, but I just didn’t like him. Only NaS album I ever bought was Untitled. And Hip Hop is Dead was just aight.
-And finally… (Eyes suddenly well up from shame) I… I… I ENJOY SOME OF SOULJA BOY’S MUSIII-hi-hi-hi-hiiiiiic!!! (Sobbing) Not his whole albums!! (sniff) Just a good amount of SOOO-HO-HO-HO-HOOOOONNNGGS! I’M SORRY!! I’M SOO SORRRY!! But I think his lyrics suck!! I swear!!!
I liked the fugees first shit better then the score
I think C murders life after death is just as good as scarface diary
i think manny fresh is one of the best producers ever
I stopped liking Tupac after he got shot the 1st time.
I don’t think Biggie would have lasted longer lyrically if he was still alive and that Jay-Z’s artist growth would have been stunted as a result.
I own at least 2 copies of every Roots album except Organix and that one I have never heard at all.
I just don’t feel that De La > Outkast .. but
I HATED on ATLiens until like 4 years ago.
I think The Coup would have been a household name if they stopped preaching socialism.
I think musically Jazzy Jeff trumps anyone else’s DJ on wax
and finally…
I never knew who J. Dilla was till he was gone and as much as i loved his music I can’t understand why he is spoke about more than James Brown to this day.
B!nk
Respect Cappa or not…..The God displayed total rage on “Winter Warz”
I think Blu > Rakim and is one more great album away (WB major debut this fall?) from attaining
Blu > Nas status in my book.
=================================================
and Leegle’s whole post: W. T. F. ?
==================================================
i defo feel a LOT better bout my confessions now, least we had youth as an excuse, some of these cats have obviously been schooled and still ain’t seein the light. i’l pray for yes lol
^we had youth= i had youth
It gets on my nerves when New Yorkers say Preemo was born in NY. he’s from Texas bitch. He went to PV A&M for crying out loud
=========
And he said that while using his Chad Butler voice lmao.
Blu = Nas Stan.
El Rosado: WTF?
“I think Blu > Rakim and is one more great album away (WB major debut this fall?) from attaining
Blu > Nas status in my book.”
– hahhaa oooh i get it … a joke, right?
“I think people confuse Jay-Z’s status as one of the most influential artists with him being an all-time great. They’re not one in the same, he wouldn’t crack my top-25.”
– i think you’re confusing listening to music, with thinking to damn hard. Jay-Z is WAY up there. Unless of course you’re taste in music is seriously twisted.
“I think Pusha and Malice can take the whole coke rap duo thing to levels Ghost and Rae never could when it’s all set and done. And Ghost is my G.O.A.T. and OB4CL is in my all time top-5, so that’s saying something.”
– classifying ghost and rae as a coke rap duo?
“I think Mos and Talib would have had a lot more success musically (and they been pretty successful) if they recorded more than one album together.”
– obviously
“I think Fat Joe got his hands on Pun’s rhymebook after he died and used it rather liberally, thus helping him stay relevant another 5-6 years.”
– obviously … he was knee deep in his rhyme book before he died.
“I think Get Rich or Die Trying is one of the best albums of the decade.”
– I’ll give you this one
