“Rebel For The Hell Of It…”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on April 10, 2009 at 10:43 am“…Hella Rich, never have to sell a brick again
Must I tell a b*tch again
The b*llshit I’m addressing, check I’m on some next level shit
Never been f*cked in the game, I’m celibate
Rarely out my element,
Barely out the ghetto with
One foot out and one foot in intelligent as fellas get
Listen let’s settle this
Be clear I could fall back seven years
Still ain’t no one ahead of me.”
It took me a little over thirteen hours to get this. Might not sound like anything to you but I’m impatient. No particular reason besides having the instrumental to play extra loud as I pull up to the Easter egg hunt on Sunday. In my mind, it should be Peter Cottontail’s theme music as he comes hoppin’ along.

5 iPod stars. All I saw was “Rebel for the hell of it”, and I could finish the rest of that verse.
I listened to Paper Trail from front to back for the first time the day before yesterday.
Yes, quite wack of me to have slept this long, but it’s a mighty fine album if I say so.
“Blowin that celary (big pause)/ stack that cash like the US treasury”
LOL @ the TSS “Album Artwork”
nice touch, Gotty

Paper Trail & Recession = best albums of last year.
^ You ain’t lying.
oh come on now Luda was better than Recession…Paper Trail was aaiight nothing special about it at all…
Aside shouting us out lol, did Luda actually say anything meaningful?

See all my Recession arguments there. Paper Trail, if you’re telling me there was something else on a “mainstream” level that touched it (not the Stoupe underground stuff), I’ll listen…but I doubt I believe you.

wow….really? so tell us what “special” releases came out last year?
oh come on now Luda was better than Recession…

Not hardly. Not a blowout but Jeezy won that round.

smh
Paper Trail got the I feel sorry for you cause your boy got killed and you got busted with guns votes…There was 2 or 3 good ones and the rest was filler…what more could TI have to say than Nas the untitled album was dope too which had about 4 or 5 good ones and the rest was filler…Luda brought back lyrics something the south lacks overall.
and to be honest there was nothing really special in hip hop last year more good singles than full efforts from anyone…
Dirk you really feel that luda album was lyrically nice? I’m a pretty big fan of luda and i was let down by every track other than mvp. And even on that I thought premier’s beat was way better than luda’s weak punchlines.
“Your flow is garbage, i throw in in the trash” ?
“I got more cheese than provolone” ?
word?
Recession = Paper Trail > Theater Of The Mind

The more I see people saying that here & elsewhere, the only question I’m left w/is, “why are you here since you obviously gave up on the art?”
There was 2 or 3 good ones and the rest was filler

Aside from whatever song there was with Pharrell & maybe one or two others, I’d have to disagree. I think the sound was a little iffy in spots. But lyrically? No way. No filler. Pretty much made it a wide open book, something he hasn’t done in a while.
ludas album was way nicer then i expected.
i was so turned off by TI’s first single i never went back to thoroughly listen to the album.
i cosign with Petey
Of those 3 i’ll take Jeezy and The Recesssion. Easy.
But why is everybody fronting like Rick Ross {yes Officer Ricky} didn’t blow them all away with Trilla?
^ cuz he didn’t
This was one of the best songs on that CD…
Anotha Time,

T.I. is doing amazing things
This a debate as to which retard won last year.
Eli Deed It Mayne.
Yea, yea, recession paper trail and theater of the mind was dope, but aren’t you all forgetting one small little multi-platinum album. I belive it’s by this guy called Lil wayne, tha Carter III, was by far the best rap album last year. His raps have meaning, he raps 4 meaning, and yall just forget about it as soon as some other mainstream album comes out. Naw due Tha Carter III was the stuff.
i cant believe i just read that last post.
I agree wit C. lol Carter III??? U for real son? Paper Trail>Carter III
