For better or worse, The Paxtons’ “Smoke” sounds like something I would have gotten high to in high school.
I could see myself listening to it at Church’s house with him and his brothers after we passed around a series of bong rips and blunt hits. Then, we’d play NFL Blitz for Nintendo 64 and I’d destroy a bag of Chili Cheese Fritos by myself. I would have known every retarded word to this song and thought it was incredible. My boyfriend would have silently judged me for it, and put on some Black Star or Lyricist Lounge instead. Then I’d flat line on the couch.
Off The Paxtons’ upcoming project Work, that hook you recognize is a vague yet crafty interpretation of MJ’s “The Lady In My Life” and the song itself was creatively inspired by Gangsta Pat. All in all, a good way to kick off your 4/20. I don’t partake anymore myself, but I Respect Your Fresh if you do. Smoke’em if you got’em, TSS.

TC’s Footnote — Never was a smoker but this takes me back to my days in 10th grade study hall where the dusty niggas would split the guts of the Swisher right there on the auditorium steps and claim a song like this was the shiznit just because they appeared on the latest No Limit album.

that’s some regional shit, everything they made make you wanna smoke.
Though I have been a everday smoker for the past 7 years; 420 although always a good day, it is very overblown. Like everyone going to buy flowers on V-Day. I just don’t like when those half-way smokers (read jersey girls in ugz) try to take it over.
BUT…..
Vanilla Dutches with that purple haze all day today. You don’t know how to roll a Dutch, you are not a smoker (unless of course you live in parts of the country with only Swishers/Phillies.

As far as the song, I’m not crazy about it. That hook is shoddy.
That smoking tracklist is WAY incomplete. You CAN NOT, and i repeat…CAN NOT have a foe20 tracklist without Devin the Dude at least twice on that bad boy. I’m loving that track from the Paxtons! In response to liyah, I actually really like the hook. I with AmpGeez, I’m loving the 90s feel and I think the hook gives the song that perfect vibe. These guys are blowing up in D.C. and on the blogs. Definitely worth keeping an eye on for those who aren’t already…..
