Slakah The Beatchild Feat. Drake - “Enjoy Ya Self”

Maybe I’ve been under a heavy rock.
I say that to say that I can’t say Slakah The Beatchild or his The Soul Movement Vol. 1 project are person, places or things I’ve heard of before. But I listened to this on the humbug and I have to admit that his beats are soulful (think a jazzier Jazzy Jeff), perhaps a “let me order a Caramel Macchiato” vibe to them. Throw in Drake’s flow mixed with a splash of harmonizing and what you get is an enjoyable chune for the collection. There’s another version (the original I presume) that’s just as gravy.
And I guess we’ll be watching for more from The Soul Movement Vol. 1.
