It’s been nearly a decade since Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek came together for their debut album Train Of Thought as Reflection Eternal. The two have both been very busy separately but haven’t dropped anything official as a duo since, aside from an underwhelming collaboration with Bootsy Collins called “Internet Connection.” But today, they released what seems as their official comeback song entitled “Back Again,” the first leak off their upcoming album Revolutions Per Min.

Hi-Tek’s beat is a mesh of tribal drums and grunts with a tight bass line and the occasional light keys that Kweli spits over with his usual multi-syllable rhymes about his position in the game and the weaknesses of his foes with the same ferocity that you would expect out of a newcomer. I will admit that I was not exactly hyped up about a new Reflection Eternal album at this point in their careers, but if this is a sign of what they are coming with then i will definitely be in line with my ten bucks in hand come the release date.
