Suave is always emailing me deals & he sent me this info last night, only to see it on the local news this morning too. Today at Kentucky Fried Chicken, you can get a free piece of grilled chicken just by going in and asking. No need to confirm/deny with The Smoking Gun since this isn’t an internet hoax, as KFC set up a site (www.unthinkkfc.com) complete with a gif of people dancing with said chicken.

Not sure if they’re supplying the hot sauce & napkins.

While visiting Justin’s earlier, I ran into this gem. Initially it seemed it was going to be some reckless young’ns breaking their necks and faces against stair cases and railing, so I pulled out a bag of Lays and a can Red Bull and kicked my feet up. Then the gentleman in the hat fluttered to the camera, like a crackhead moth would to glowing crack.

Hilarity ensued. As soon as he said “I make movies”, it was a wrap. Dude proceeded to provide enough one-liners to keep a t-shirt company in business for a while.

He’s been signed to the label for almost two years and hasn’t received the spins, sales and more importantly, recognition of his record label brethren. Really, this dude must think he’s infinitely ill. Granted, anyone would be gassed up when your partial production credits are a scrollathon of hits, but somebody please let this dude know that he’s really not been that dope lately, and that he flat out sucks as an MC. When you can help other artists sell 100 million records, but can’t go platinum on your own merit, that should show you what position you’re best suited for in the game. While English songbirds such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Estelle, and Adele have managed to flourish in the American market, their Hip-Hop siblings across the pond have yet to enjoy the same crossover success. Whether it’s the dialect, culture differences or some hidden treaty George Bush imposed on Tony Blair’s dominion, their MC’s aren’t connecting with those damn Yanks. Which is rather ironic seeing that British born Slick Rick is regarded a legend in the genre.

No later than two hours after Gotty™ claimed that he was not responsible for my reckless sneaker spending, he sends me the news of these new Air Wovens.

I’ve professed my love for Wovens before. If your feet are shaped right, these are some of the more comfortable shoes you will ever wear. With summer on the way, comfortable slip-ons are a must-have. Add to that that it’s a look that not only breaks the monotony of any sneaker head’s rotation, but one that very few will be able to replicate.

Thank goodness Nike is reverting back to the basics and rejuvenating the classics.
