In less than two months, the heir to Mac Dre’s Thizzlamic community unbelievably went from freestyling in his ER bed to trading bars with Sonic on the streets of Austin during SXSW.
Capitalizing on that full circle journey, Fabby Davis Jr. has recorded “I Don’t Wanna Go,” a spiritual retrospective touching on the flat tires of our abbreviated life cycles. With the bleek topic matter, you’d assume the song would be set something somber, but instead the unorthodox emcee opted to supplement the theme of the unexpected with an uptempo club beat that builds alongside the despair.
The majority of you are either going to really like it, or be turned off within the first thirty seconds by the eccentric medley of moods.
I chose the latter.
Hopefully FAB picks it up for his upcoming mixtape with DJ Scream.

meh…not really feeling it…and please dont refer to FAB as the heir to the Yay’s throne…he’s far from there…40 Wata’s still got the torch in hand…as a bay head, never really dug FAB too much…got his Baydestrian album and stopped checking for him after that.
Shit I’m seriously feeling this. I think Fab seems like a pretty cool dude but I never really liked his music too much, couldn’t get down with the thizz nation of late.
I can seriously feel the struggle and pain (pause) in Fab’s voice during his voices. I can ride with what he’s saying as well.
“Fab’s voice during his voices” *
hahahah “Fab’s voice during his VERSES” i is blozzed
Beat is cool, lyrics not so much. Needs a remix with some dope emcees.
It sounds like a good idea for a song with poor execution; I like the “beat,” though.
damn, two bay posts in a row….
what up Krish, we’re sleeping!
Not his best but what’s dope about Fabby is that he does take risks and is always pushing the creative envelope. I’m sorry KThundo but how can you say you’re a bay head and not be feeling Fab? He is the heir to thrown if he’s not already wearing the crown. The Son of a Pimp album is ridiculous so please peep is body of work before knocking him. And if you were a serious bay head you should have already done that. Fab is out repping the bay but also collabing with artists from socal, the south, and the east coast. He’s a true bay area hip-hop artist and dosen’t just rap about whips and chains, but comments on political issues as well. Check this interview out:

Fab is one of my favorite MC’s in the game right now. True Bay Heads know whats up…

@TheHamptons:
serious bay head?? whats so serious about taking thizz breaks, bleezies & heem? not a goddamn thing…i base my “crown” off lyrical ability & song construction and based off those two criterias, like i said Fabby Davis is faaaaaar from the top of the mountain (as proved by this song right here)…just off the top of my head you got all these cats still ahead of FAB:
E-40
Yukmouth
anyone from Hiero
Keak
Zion I
im sorry but the Thizz Movement died with Mac Dre and cats trying to keep it alive are a dime a dozen, including FAB…
Mistah FAB
Dubee Sugawolf
PSD The Driva
J Diggs
Rydah J Klyde
Sumthin Terrible
Bavgate
what i do respect about FAB is his grind and his amazing ability to come off the top…but to say that he’s the be all end all in the Bay is fucking crazy…dudes an innovator and will only get better with time but he’s not in the same league as the guys i mentioned in the first list…need more proof? go check out “Hit Em” off of Zion I & The Grouch’s “Heroes In The City Of Dope”…dude get rolled over by The Grouch and Zion
and all thats on Hillside
i am personally more of a San Quinn fan myself – as far as lyrics go
but Mistah F.A.B. has got a little something as well
btw how are you going to leave out Turf Talk or Tha Jacka from a bay listing?
Bay area cats to check for:
Turf Talk
FAB
San Quinn
I hear about Bavgate all the time but i’ve never checked the music so i can’t say nothing either way..
@misterchane
I guess we were on the same page.. I had this page up for a while now and i just read and commented..
What’s good with Tha Jacka? Can you hook me up with a link to his best joint?
andre nickatina
equipto

I don’t pop thizz and don’t ghostride my whip, so chill KThunder true bay hip hop heads know whats up and respect Fabby for is lyrical ability and song production.
40′s last two albums have been disappointing to me compared with his other albums but he’s still one of my favorite mcs.
Kthundo it’s good to see you can list off a bunch of well known bay area artists… keep repping the hillside even though you probably live in Vallejo Heights and just drive through the south side sometimes to feel hard.
