I spent the majority of the day yesterday double & triple-checking stories to substantiate before posting about them. Since today is April 2nd, I’ll take it that this is true. Alledgely, Baby’s boy & CMR have decided to file suit against mixtape DJ’s.
Lil Wayne & Cash Money Records Sues Mixtape DJ’s Makin Moves & DJ Drama. Makin Moves Entertainment released US Federal Court Papers stating their being sued aswell as DJ Drama by Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records…Links are provided below to the US Court Documents…
I was just thinking how Dramagate really slowed down the hustle for big name mixtape DJ’s. None of the heavy hitters are putting out tapes any more and most have moved on to greener, more lucrative pastures within the industry. If they are still making tapes, they’re ones that have some label authorization and involvement. While details haven’t emerged, one would have to qualify this as a low blow. As a business, the music industry keeps on driving home the point that it won’t tolerate unauthorized usage…but @ what cost remains to be seen. If that means alienating one of the key elements of Hip-Hop, the DJ, that’s almost disgraceful.
Or maybe it’s personal because, not to dry snitch, but how did The Empire not get implicated too?

This one does kind of upset me cus Drama usually makes mixtapes where the artist is actually involved. Im still tired of DJ so and so using this or that artists name and calling it a mixtape cus he compiled some tracks, in essence its a mixtape but its damn annoying.
By the way, Wolverine was pretty good. The CGI blunders and f*ed up camera angles were actually hilarious.

One of the many reasons I hate this weak excuse for a rapper. He’s always biting the hand that feeds him. Yall need to think about this. Someone put two mixtapes out, one by this guy, and one by drama. This is his shit and he should be getting money for it because their slapping his name on his product and selling it without his authorization.
