At least he is according to this Chicago writeup. The writer takes umbrage with KG’s sideline behaviors, which have included mean-mugs & flailing curses words in the direction of the young Bulls.
If that’s how Garnett needs to re-emasculate himself, to make up for the fact that his body his breaking down and he can’t get on the court this year, fine. But last night was worse than usual. Last night crossed a line. After Brad Miller missed the first of two potentially game-tying overtime free throws, Garnett took time out of his busy injured schedule to yell “choke” at Brad Miller. Classy, man. (And this is coming from us, someone you’ll rarely ever see complain about “class” in sports.) There’s also this photo of a snarling Garnett getting in Ben Gordon’s face, the same Ben Gordon who played through his injury last night while Garnett threw on Armani and did his cheerleading from the sidelines.
Competitive spirit, understood. Trying to do what you can to help your team is understood. Acting whorish from the bench is not understood. Although there are varying opinions, that is not godly.
I guess I haven’t been paying attention to the Celts-Bulls series enough to notice all these antics. If true, KG gets the gas face.

yeah…KGs been pulling this shit all series…started when Ray Allen hit that three over Noah to win the game (forgot which one) and hasnt stopped since….honestly lost a tad of respect for KG
KG was actually trying to bolster the opposition’s competitive spirit by yelling, “Anything Is Pooossiibblleee!” in Ben Gordon’s face.

One award that always screamed “pansie” to me was the NBA’s Most Sportmanship Player. Here you have softies like Steve Smith and David Robinson running up and down the court cheesin’ whether win or blowout.
If KG was on the court, he’d be doing the same thing. Ain’t nuthin’ but some added inspiration for the Celts. By the looks of the series possibly going 7, they need it.

Is he crossing the line? Perhaps.
But keep in mind this is the man who arguably gets more passionate about regular season games than most players get about the playoffs. His frustration is understandable being that he’s rendered useless on the sidelines and would want nothing more than to suit up and play for another ring.
Is he going about it in a snake-like way? A little. But he’s getting in players heads and that’s pretty much all he can do. Of course he’s doing what he can for his team from the sidelines, he’s a passionate player who wants to help his team. Period.
Would you rather he be up in the press box solemnly watching the series with a pity-me face on? I’ll take the amped up, foul-mouthed KG please.

Never have been a fan of KG and this series has driven me to dislike him even more. As a Chicago native and resident, this dude here is definitely a recipient of the Gas Face of the Month Award.
Being a neutral party to these teams, I’d have to say Garnett is making a total joke of himself. It’s one thing to be in the game talking trash-but cursing at dudes from the sideline as they shoot? Players like Tim Duncan do not need to do that…ever. Nor Shaq. Nor MJ. Nor Kobe. etc. They are REAL winners.
The fact is-imo-the TRUE greats don’t need to do this kind of stuff. They just let the playing do the talking (and yes I know MJ was a world famous trash-talker, but that was ON the court).
If you ever read Bill Simmons on ESPN (Boston homer writer) he says this has apparently been going on for a while w/ KG. But he usually yells at “inferior” players; such as Mark Madsen and other role players. Once again why Duncan OWNS KG. Or try doing that shit to Shaq-even now.
Funny but I never saw him do this shit in Minny while his team was 20 under .500. You want class in Boston-look at Jesus Shuttleworth; dude hits like 4-5 HUGE shots this series and handles it right.

yeah…but he’s on the bench…and in the national spotlight. On the court, it’s excusable b/c you’re competing. But if you’re bum is heart, cheer your teammates. Don’t sit there & show a lack of class by barking @ opponents from the sidelines.
ill jus admit that i have never seen KG act like that from the bench before it kinda surprised me when i saw it get consistent throughout the series
takes a whole lot of “passion” & “heart” (i think those are the words the KG stans used around here) to talk shit FROM THE SIDELINE…
this would all be good and well if he was on the court, where intimidation attempts could actually be backed up by good play…but if your sitting out the playoffs for a bitchmade injury like a “strained knee” (not torn…not sprained…but STRAINED) then sit your ass on the sideline and hand out the gatorade and towels

does it matter in the end though? no…the Cavs are gonna put either one of the teams out, but if KG wants to lower his stock in the eyes of the public and media…more power to him

Jordan is one of the Biggest trash talkers the league ever seen. And what I find funny is that everything KG is doing now; he was doing since he came into the league. How come when he was losing in the 1st rd with the Wolves oh he is passionate, Got to love the Kid. When he wins a championship he is now a goon and a punk for the same actions. I am not saying he hasn’t crossed the line with at times; name me one person who is fueled by emotion who hasn’t. But to get on him because KG said choke to Miller after he choked. @ Gotty my second point was that courtside antics happens and has happened in yester-years. Now obviously Im a Bean fan but I could care less if anyone on the Bulls Cavs Lakes or anyone talked trash on sideline. Who cares, you’re not even in the game. KG does cheer his teammates, if you look at the games you see him as the emotional leader he is the WHOLE game (on the contrary of what El thinks, but it sounds like El got some real Chi beef with dude, so I aint gonna touch that) and if he wasnt sucha high profile player you woulda never even seen this, because its done all the time when benches get emotional
@cell: no beef. Just never liked KG, ever. Respected his game but didn’t like him. He always been a front-runner man, loudest guy in the room when things are going great, quiet as a mute when things get rough.
And my beef isn’t that he’s cheering on his guys or amped up for them or anything of the sort. I just think he should chill on all the shit directed at the Bulls on the court. I’m a Minnesota home grown guy who watched KG fight off teams by himself for years while he rotted away in a Timberwolves uniform. Guy has more heart than anyone else in the league and it’s killing him not to be on that court helping his team, so he’s gotta do something to help them out in his mind. It wouldn’t be KG if he wasn’t barking from the sidelines, he doesn’t know how to sit out and not compete. I’m not a Boston fan, I’m a KG fan. Bulls in 7.

he’s mad passionate and always has been, so whether he’s playing or sidelined, that passion is going to be there. i guess since he can’t show it on the court, he shows it like this. i wouldn’t expect him to act any other way, that’s KG. nobody ever claimed he was perfect, he’s just another dude doing what he does.
obviously I’m biased as fuck, but if KG was on your favorite team in the same situation, you’d prolly be lovin this ish lol. I think this has more to do with the writers’ team losing than KG. you really want to get at him for the looks he’s giving, but lets not talk about gordon grabbing his nuts after sinking a 3 (i won’t lie, it was a nice 3 tho)
