J Dilla Feat. Black Thought - “Reality Check”

I’m by no means a Dilla disciple, but I definitely won’t turn away anything he’s involved with. With the vocal assist by Black Thought (somewhere GZA is smiling… or working on a Soulja Boy diss), this will be on the upcoming Jay Stay Paid project.
It’ll consist of unreleased beats from all points of Dilla’s career and mixed by Pete Rock. Outside of Black Thought look for appearances by M.O.P, Doom, Blu and others. It’s slated to be released June 2nd on Nature Sounds.

I can’t remember the last time I heard a bland Dilla beat with vocals. That’s where he, Preme and Pete stand out from the rest. They drop the occasional clunker, but the ratio is so much better than a Dre or Timbaland.

@ Ragga: Hell yeah, I been yellin and screamin at the TV all day. This kid is mad special, he’s doing the Chi proud, especially those of us who remember seeing him hoop in high school/AAU/pro am games. He’s always been the sickest dude on the court.
