I checked it out yesterday and it doesnt allow you to listen to tracks before you download them. Otherwise its dope. I copped it and disabled it cuz a motherfucker be taking chances when he d/l the new lady gaga remixed by Pete R.

I tried skip screen last night. You gonna have to create a free account on the Firefox add-on page. Which aint such a big deal. That shit works like a charm on z-share. but if you have a rapidshare premium account then it will not recognize that. it will skip straight to the guest download and you still have to wait the 60 seconds. In theory this would be great. They need to fix it though before i actually start using it. Rapidshare is the most widely used of all the hosting sites, so they should be coming up with something soon. I haven’t tried it on any other site though.
I also remember the day my rapidshare account exceeded it’s limit. I almost had a shit fit. I had to convert my points so I could get some more shit.
If you’re a respectable downloader/bootlegger you should at least have a rapidshare premium account.

It lets you put search engines in the search bar. For example: If you want to have TSS’s search in your search bar just right click in it, and click add to search bar.
So then whatever search engine you have up there, If you highlight a word on any page, right click, it will give you the option of searching that word in the search engine you’re using and it will open it in a new tab.

lol, def. done this shit before. i got lucky and checked the rapidshare news page on new years and they had a special deal for 3333 rapid points to extend your account for 30 days so I got my premium extended for a few months…but I go over the daily limit so I be coppin 100gb trafficshare every now and then. prolly doesn’t help that I be lettin all my homies use my account haha…

@ Pago, no stories, nuthin like that. I’m a Colombian citizen as well as a US citizen, so they don’t really say shit to me. When I go down, I use my Col passport and when I comeback I use my US passport. My US one doesn’t even have any stamps in it. One time they did try to take my cuban cigars that I bought. Till I told them I got them in fuckin duty-free. Those bitches. They said they only let me keep them because the box said “Cuban filled, made in Colombia”. Hahaha.

This would be my major issue with Skipscreen. I mean I COULD just listen to it after its on my HD.. but that’s like tracking dirt on your floor just so you can use the broom

Re: rapidshare premium accounts — we know that’s important, so we’ll add it soon.
Re: listening first — see, it’s weird, since I’d always rather just download than listen first. My style is to click a ton of links in a row, open in itunes, and have like a “recent” playlist that I listen to either in itunes or on my ipod. But when we were designing skipscreen we knew some people prefer to listen first.
So, the solution would be some kind of preference for sites that let you listen first. We’ll do it soon, but it might be a few weeks.

Its a cool application with just a few bugs to work out…if you use it with sharebee you can get multiple downloads of the same song and it doubled up a couple of zshare files also….other than that its a pretty cool lil time saver
