Fonzworth Bentley Feat. Anthony Hamilton - “Greener”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on April 27, 2009 at 11:40 amIt’s the facial expressions. He’s always making some face that just throws me off from fully taking him seriously. The facial expressions & the poses he strikes (”Strike a pose, Vogue!“) are always sus and causing me to silently question myself, like I lose some macho for admitting that the music is appealing.
Otherwise, Fonsworth stands above the majority of the other artists on the G.O.O.D. label when it comes to song structure, concept & his delivery. It’s as if he’s got the formula under wraps, written on a scribbled on, crumpled sheet of paper that he keeps stashed in his blazer’s inside pocket. He calls up a collaborator (this time it’s Anthony Hamilton), finds a beat (a synthesized chune this go) and just makes winners. Nothing too heavy, nor too sappy. Just music that makes you want to drop the windows & ride.
I think Kanye shelves shit like C.O.L.O.U.R.S. and SA-RA projects because both crap all over his so-called arrogance, oozing way more confident cool & being able to convey that into their music with ease. No ghostblogging or media antics neccessary.

Maybe if Big Sean wore a bowtie & carried an umbrella (no Rihanna) he’d be closer to putting out a single.
Song’s still dope though lol.
It’s Fonzy!!! Ehhhhhhh!!! Oh shit, wrong Fonz yo. I hear you Gotty, the facial expressions and body movements are much too much, borderline no homo.
^ yeah but dude has a solid avg when you consider his songs & appearances.
he knows his lane and he stays in it…8 bar verses (cuz he definitely ain’t a lyricist), R&B hook (easy radio play) and a catchy synth beat (can’t hurt, can it?)…having said all that, this is definitely NOT for me…y’all better invest in a few “pause” bumper stickers before you go bumpin this in the wheel lol
@ Sherm: Pause bumper stickers??? LMAO!!!
At G - he has a avg.? well this kinda lowers the avg. IMO. Only know of this and Everybody (which was aight).
um, Kanye surely isn’t worries about those cats soundin’ cooler than him…not at all
y’all better invest in a few “pause” bumper stickers before you go bumpin this in the wheel lol

*dies*
I need one of those joints. Cats be looking at my funny when I’m bumping Chromeo.
With all the latent and openly gay folks behind the scenes in hiphop and music biz, somebody’s gonna breakthrough in the next couple years. Personally, my money’s on Fonzworth to jump the shark.
Fonz is a pioneer of Queen Rap or Peacock Rap= sexually quentionable cats that spit with so much lispy effiminate ego they’re practically primpin’ and staring in a mirror on a track. It’s like swag with a switch in the hip and a borderline neck-roll flow.
It’s comin’ y’all. and all the “pasues” and nohomo’s inthe world ain’t gonna stop it.
Now if it ain’t Fonzworth or X or Diddy (shoulda been Brat, but that’s another story) it’ll be some cat that’s prolly killin’ it in a gay clubs building his audience up right now.
‘member the kid in high school that you called a sissy and he said, “whateva nigga you juss scared!”… Yeah, that guy’s gonna start unloading 16s on the game—and nice 16s at that. And they’re gonna be hot enough that you’ll have no choice but to sit back and be mad uncomfortable about it.
@ Canseco
That rapper already exists!
His name is Lil’ Wa…..
ROFLMAO
I’m just serious.
lol @ AJWONDAGREEK!
For real tho… Weezy might ride the pony, but but he’s not what i’m talkin’ bout. I mean cats that are so open with it that you don’t confuse it with anything else.
you might like it, but one day Fonz and his ghostwriters gon’ slide some heat with so many homo-erotic double entendres that Rhymefest will become a suicide bomber. and we’ll have to give it up for him.
